We had such a fun weekend in London. Read now The Drey London Review and plan your trip there with your family over half-term.

A New Concept In Earls’ Court

The Drey is a new hotel concept that just launched this autumn with 125 rooms. The location caters for all needs: from solo travellers to families, you can book a room for a smaller price compared to your average London hotel.

You can check in online via the keyless access, and you basically manage your stay on the dedicated app. Indeed, its forward design is all about minimalist touches, but with efficient features.

L’autre plus that we love about The Drey? Its location is parfaite for you to explore some of the most iconic places in London. Indeed, right in between Earls’ Court and Gloucester Road, you can visit Kensington and places like the Natural History Museum.

Are you sold yet? See how clever the design is to accommodate a bigger family.

Our Family Room

As soon as we arrived, we were very pleased with the elegant lines of the hotel. The building follows the vibes of the area, and you are welcomed by guest service. So don’t worry if you are not super tech-savvy; the team can help you to settle down.

Our room on the third floor could sleep up to 6 people, with 3 bunk beds. It’s a pretty new model in the hospitality industry, and I must say I quite like the concept! It’s basically a base for you to sleep with minimalist touches, yet very functional with a premium feel.

What do you think of our space? We even had a corner where we could exercise, not that I had any intention to do so! But still, it’s pretty cool.

Our beds were super comfy, and Stanley certainement had fun building a fort with the collection of duvets and pillows. Plus, what a view!

It was fantastic to stay right in the centre of one of the poshest parts of London! The Frenchie girly in me would always fall in love with a private garden and endless London flats

A Luxurious Space

Now, if you like an opulent stay with colours and all the bling bling that goes with it, The Drey might not be your place…

You get a small bathroom space, with a modern shower and even some equipment to do a stretch first thing in the morning. Any cool cats out there who like exploring places without a massive price tag will run for it.

Having said that, the entire space still felt luxurious. L’autre plus, it gives you so much freedom. No breakfast is served here, but you can grab a coffee at the vending machines.

Modern But Full of History

Another thing that The Drey is pushing hard is connecting with local brands. Hence why you get to enjoy all your toiletries from the London-based fragrance house Gabar.

The hotel very much feels like a destination itself with its modern touches. Having said that, is conserved really well some touches from its history. Par exemple, you’ve got to fall in love with the stained glass windows and the endless stairs taking you out. I want to know who was living there and what stories the hotel witnessed over the years…

We were lucky with the weather, so we started the day with a cheeky pain au chocolat from a local French bakery before stopping by the Science Museum. Now, I know the hype for the Natural History Museum, but it gets so over crowded, especially over half-term!

We spent quite a bit in the Fly Gallery, but if you want to play some cool retro video games, check out Power Up. We did it this summer in Manchester and it was absolutely awesome!

Have fun among optical illusions and learn about everything that made the modern world! Quel programme! We loved it before heading to the majestueux Royal Albert Hall to see the latest show from the Cirque Du Soleil.
