Bonjour lecteurs! If like moi, you like travelling with your family, then you would know that any adventure abroad or in the UK implies some planning. Or if you are a fellow European reader eager to visit the UK, then there are 3 major mistakes you will need to avoid. If you want to make the most of your UK vacation, follow those simple steps.
Carrying Valuables
Planning a trip to the dear Angleterre? Then be careful when carrying valuables with you.
Overall, I have always felt that the country is safe. Indeed, theft isn’t an issue in the UK generally speaking. But you can easily lose things when you are on the go.
So I would pack light on this end and take only valuables you really need or that you can carry on you at all times.
If you travel on public transport, I would take a jacket that has zip pockets. Or I would use a cross body bag so that you can keep an eye on your stuff, especially in busy places where pickpockets could operate like Covent Garden and other landmarks in London par exemple.
Don’t Plan Too Much
If like me, you are curieux to see a lot and you tend to over plan, then rethink it.
The UK and particulièrement London has so much to offer. You want to allow time for a few unscheduled activities too.
So when you create your itinéraire, plan some breaks so that you can relax and soak it all in.
What région are you the most eager to visit? I would love to explore more Northumberland, so I have been looking at Northumberland hotels for a potential trip next year.
Is London calling you? Then you will want to book in advance as much as possible. The hotels there tend to be in high demand and more expensive, especially in the peak season.
Explore The Countryside
I know that for many, London is very appealing. Indeed, it has so much to offer. I, myself loved living there for about a decade and I would always consider myself a Londoner somehow.
But don’t miss the British countryside if your schedule allows it. The UK is home to some stunning castles and other beautiful sites for you to visit. From the English Heritage to the National Trust, there are so many options.
And why not stopping in Kent? It’s really close to London and we have many fabulous sites over here such as Dover Castle, Leeds Castle or even Sissinghurst.
Walk around the country, stay in a typical inn, book an afternoon tea in a little village… There are so many things to do in Kent, but also in Buckinghamshire or Sussex par exemple.
So, did I convince you to book a holiday to the UK ASAP? What are you waiting for? Plan your trip now and if you are a British reader, then it’s your reminder to organise a break and discover a new area to you…
