Bonjour lecteurs! Not so long ago, we were all celebrating Mother’s Day. But Father’s Day fast approaching in June. What do you get a man who has it all like? This year, we decided on planning the Perfect Intimate Father’s Day. So for us, it will be all about being at home for a cosy day. I think that’s the way Grumpy Boyfriend would like it. Breakfast His Way
You know how mums always gush over having Mother’s Day breakfast served in bed by their family? Why not do the same on Father’s Day? I reckon any papa would love a lie in and a good cuppa while reading his fav paper or maybe playing some video games?
What would be extra special for yours? Do they like a good old English Breakfast? Or would they rather go for une option très chic with pastries and croissants?
If you want to splash out and you dad likes eating out, then book a brunch. It’s such a nice way to celebrate your loved one, especially when good food is au menu!
He Chooses His Perfect Day
Often, we might think that on Father’s Day, they prefer a day to themselves, but that might not be the case.
Ask them what would they like. Would they like a new haircut or a walk in a local woods? Maybe go for a family bike ride with a picnic.
Or if they prefer to stay at home and watch their fav movie with you all, curled up on the sofa with a pizza and some beers?
Let him be en charge and decide on what is his perfect day. Then, all you have to do is plan it with the kids, et voilà!
Practical Father’s Day Gifts
I don’t know about you but I always struggle on what to get. Most of the time, Grumpy Boyfriend wants some techie stuff that I have never heard of. So I try to go for personalised gifts so that c’est différent.
But you could go for something a bit funky and fun. Par exemple, why not getting him some cool boxers of his favourite rugby or football clubs from quality brands like Bawbags?
Light hearted and practical gifts always do well! En plus, it’s often more meaningful than any typical watch or an expensive cologne.
Cook His Fav Meal
Plan un dîner at home that includes your dad’s favourite recipe or the go-to meal for a special night out. Be sure to add his favourite appetisers, drinks, and desserts to the menu as well.
Get the whole family involved by inviting the kids or in-laws to help with cooking and make the meal extra special.
What did you do for Father’s Day last year? We went to London for the occasion and we visited un restaurant très spécial. But I think this year will be low-key with something in Kent. Personnellement, I love nothing more than spending time with my family and I am sure I will have lots of fun with Stanley planning the perfect intimate father’s day.
