Bonjour lecteurs! I have been a bit quiet on the blog lately as we were on holidays in Paphos. Grumpy Boyfriend booked this for his father’s birthday. Papi Grumpy (don’t tell him I call him that!) had a big one this year. Plus, we have already been en vacances with my mum and Grumpy Boyfriend’s mum, so it was his turn… I already shared some pics and stories on our Instagram but here is a more detailed post. And oui, I am very much missing our week in Cyprus at Louis Ledra Beach Hotel🙂
A Chic & Safe Journey
No need to say that we were all very excited about this holiday!
It started really well with a safe journey on the plane. And I was feeling very stylish with my new Lipault Miss Plume suitcase. It was the perfect piece of hand baggage onboard. I could keep my books and all of Baba’s essentials. It looks so stylish!
A bit more than 4 hours later and we landed at Paphos airport.
Off in a taxi and we had some good cocktails on our arrival.
Louis Ledra Beach Hotel
The Louis Ledra Beach Hotel is situated on the beachfront overlooking the Paphos coast in Cyprus.
With its main outside swimming-pool (there is another one inside) and a paddling pool for little ones, it has a lot of space. Plus, you can have a sea view as it is literally on the coast.
With its all-inclusive offers, you can get a nice family break without breaking the bank!
We got a standard family room and we had enough space for the three of us.
Swimming-Pools and Activities
The hotel has a main swimming pool, but we were by the kids’ pool most of the days.
As it was not during half-term, it was not crazy busy. Even when we arrived at the piscine after 12 pm we easily found some sun beds.
It is all here with safeguards and if you fancy being a bit more adventurous, you can walk to the beach with extra spaces.
The hotel has it all for you not to think about anything. There was some entertainment every night and we even got to see a mini-production of the Lion King. To be fair, it is not really my cup of tea, but Baba had a blast each time and he won a couple of diplomas during the disco competitions!
We even got to see a magician, so if you want to take it easy, no need to look for places to visit or any other activity to do. And if you need some ‘me time’, there is also a kids’ club.
But we got a bit adventurous.
Mini Golf & Cruise
We had a day playing mini golf. I did not win, quelle surprise! But it was good to be in the shades for a bit as it was hot!
The best thing we did out of the resort was definitely our mini cruise.
We got on the boat at the harbour and the 4 hours experience gave us the opportunité to see a bit more of Paphos. And what a day with Coral Bay, and a tour on a speed boat!
That was not scary! I survived and even pretended to be a mermaid for a couple of minutes. But we loved the view and the sun!
Fine, I might have had a bit more cocktails while Baba pretended to be a captain 🙂
A Dinner at the Harbour
We also had dinner out a couple of times.
The town is very touristic and so is the harbour. But it was lovely to have a walk around the old town.
The castle is the thing to see in town after enjoying some yummy fresh fish.
We even got a new hat for Baba and some local sweets to give away.
I admit I kept a box for moi…
Louis Ledra Beach Hotel Review
I have always been a bit wary of all-inclusive hotels, but I must say that the Louis Ledra Beach Hotel changed my mind on the matter.
The food was quite diverse and it was lovely to see some local food available each day.
Even if we did not book this holiday to be adventurous or cultural (after all, we travelled with an elderly man and a very active little boy. Plus I needed a rest!), I still wanted to see a bit of the country.
I must say that the staff was impressive. They were so helpful and always making sure we had a good time.
The room was lovely too with a sea view on the side. It was not too busy at the time of the year and very family-friendly!
I must say that Baba turned heads a couple of times with his cheekiness and his cool outfits. No need to say that he had a blast!
A Lovely Family Holiday in Cyprus
After our gorgeous Spanish holiday in Sotogrande last year, I had high expectations when we booked this break in Cyprus. And it did not disappoint us.
We had some lovely family time and I really recommend Louis Hotels. The brand offers a good selection of locations across Cyprus and Greece.
So if you need a rest and a bit of sun, have a look!
We made some lovely memories. We enjoyed the giant ice creams (have you ever seen such a huge 99 Flake?! And topped up with chocolate for only 3 euros!) and so much more.
Baba’s highlight would probably be the swimming pool even if I suspect he enjoyed the company of the local ladies saying he was very beau! His granddad did for sure! Oops!
I can’t wait to go back to Cyprus (or anywhere hot really!). Next time, I promise we will visit some archaeological sites and pretend to be more cultural…
The thing is, it was simply too nice to enjoy a Tom Collins with my book by the pool! And for once, I managed to get a nice tan and not get burnt!
I will have to share with you my holiday beauty picks soon!
Have you ever been to Cyprus? Where are you heading off for your next break?
With Thanks To…
Disclosure: We paid ourselves for this holiday but I would like to thank some brands that sent us some lovely items for us to have the best time! So merci to:

Yes some yeras ago now and stayed in Paphos, my friend has a villa there now and keeps asking us to go out
It looks lovely.
Looks like you had an amazing holiday
Like you, I’m not usually a fan of all-inclusive resorts, because you do tend to feel as if you’re in a bit of a bubble and not really seeing the country you’re visiting. However, when you are travelling with young children it is often easier to go all-inclusive.
Would love to visit
Great photos, that ice cream look amazing!
I have a friend who owns his own villa in Cyprus. He went over there one August and helped the local rescue people with the baby turtles. I was so jealous!
One of the all-inclusive places we enjoyed when our kids were young was Boscobel Beach in Jamaica. They had a great kids club plus lots of outings you could go on from the resort. One day my 7 year-old son & I went on a day’s riding trip up in the hills behind Ocho Rios. We rode through beautiful forests and had a picnic by the most amazing waterfall, just us, the 2 guides and 4 horses. The guides were amazing, they kept the ride well within our abilities, and were so attentive, making sure my son was kept well-hydrated, and slowing down when he found the going a bit tough. It is still one of my best holiday memories.
really looks nice glad you had a good time
Looks like you had a fab time! I’d love to go there. X
