Bonjour lecteurs! Fancy a bit of Frenchie food during Vegetarian Week? Côte Brasserie has recently expanded its vegetarian menu which now includes new
dishes and vegan options. We visited the lovely Côte Brasserie in Tunbridge Wells to test it. I have already shared a couple of pictures on Instagram but here is now our full Côte Brasserie Vegetarian Menu Review. Attention! It might include a Frenchie Baba playing and some yummy food 🙂
Côte Brasserie
Côte Brasserie is a lovely chain of restaurants inspired by the brasseries and bistros of Paris. We used to go all the time in London, but not that often since we moved to Ashford.

I was very much looking forward to testing the brand’s new vegetarian menu. Even if I like a good ‘Steak Frites‘, which is very Frenchie, I find myself ordering more vegetarian options too these days. Plus, Grumpy Boyfriend doesn’t eat meat so it was good for him too!

Fancy booking a table? Expect some authentic French classics made with love… And dream of being in Paris for a couple of hours!
Côte Brasserie Tunbridge Wells
Our new local Côte Brasserie is located in Tunbridge Wells. Within 2 minutes walk from le centre ville, you can not miss it! Like all restaurants from the British café chain, this one is well decorated with a very Parisian atmosphere!
The staff is lovely and eager to help.

Plus, it is super family friendly too. As soon as we arrived, Baba got some colour pens to keep him busy and we had a lovely table by the terrace so that we could enjoy the beautiful weather too.

The service was quick and effective and I was also pleased to note that the manager was checking on all the customers.
Everyone was eager to help when we had questions on the food and there was a lovely ambience.
Vegetarian Menu
The restaurant has recently expanded its vegetarian menu. I was actually quite surprised to see such a large choice in the section. And there is also some idées for vegans.

I really liked the variety. I find that too often, the vegetarian selection always features some cheese. To be honest, I don’t mind that much on that point as I am a cheese lover.
But Grumpy Boyfriend is vegetarian and hates cheese so it can be very restrictive for him.
Starters, mains and desserts, you will have something for you!
Drinks & Starters
I started our Frenchie feast with some French wine.

I hate it when restaurants don’t offer a decent French option on their card! I might be a bit nationalist here but French wines are very yum, so it frustrates me when you can only buy one from Chili or New Zealand…

Our starters included a Brioche with Mushrooms and a Tartine Ratatouille.

They were both delicious and the food was quickly served!

Baba had a Croque-Monsieur, which was absolutely yummy! I have not had one of those for ages so I had a bite and I really enjoyed that!

Served with some frites, it made a very good lunch for him and the portions were great.
Mains & Desserts
Grumpy Boyfriend then had some Eggs Florentine while I went for a Cheese and Spinach Omelette. Having seen my partner’s choice I was quick to regret mine. His looked way better than mine!

The omelette was nice but I think I should have been a bit bolder here and maybe try the vegetarian sausages or something a bit more different. My fault really, but to be honest, I was really full at the end of the lunch.

I was a bit naughty and decided to go for a Crêpe Praline, which was absolutely delicious!
Côte Brasserie Vegetarian Menu Review – Le Verdict
Our Vegetarian lunch with Côte Brasserie (well, almost! We had some not so vegetarian bits actually) was overall lovely. The bill was about £80 and I think it is reasonably priced. For a three-course lunch for all the family, it was really good (Please note that there was a 12.5% charge service on our bill).

The food was really good. Côte Brasserie has a great variety of meals on its menu and everything is very much inspired by the bistro cuisine that I love.
Each course was quickly prepared and the staff was eager to please our family.

I also liked the atmosphere. The place is great for families and the terrace gives it this je ne sais quoi that makes me feel like going to Paris soon again!

A great success for the Côte Brasserie Vegetarian Menu! We will definitely come back when we are in the area!
Disclosure: We were invited to try the new Côte Brasserie Vegetarian Menu in exchange for an honest review.
