Mother’s Day Giveaways – Win a Classic Cork Yoga Mat worth £65

Bonjour lecteurs! It has been so busy lately with all our fab giveaways and many blog events that I barely had the time to exercise. I usually try to go for a daily jog but the terrible weather has not helped either… After some snow, it is now raining a lot and the last thing on earth I feel like doing is to run. I know that many of our readers love exercising and keeping fit. Like moi, really, when I am not spending much time at a cool bar like Café Fantasia 🙂 So when I organised our big Mother’s Day series of giveaways, I knew I needed to offer more than beautiful lingerie, cool accessories or natural beauty products… Today is totally different as you can Win a Classic Cork Yoga Mat worth £65. Feeling like you could do with a bit of meditation or use a new mat to exercise indoors? This one is for you! So don’t miss out on this unique opportunité!

CorkYogis – A Brand on a Mission

CorkYogis is a website where you can find some of the best Cork Yoga Mats. Seen on le fameux Dragons Den, the shop is also supporting the charity Destiny Foundation. The CorkYogis’s founder came across this organisation and felt they were doing something important!

This is what I want to be like!

Indeed, it fights injustices of human trafficking and the challenges that survivors face. The charity helps women in India out of sex slavery by giving them an education so that they can learn skills to find a job. Their motto is ‘One life at a time’ and we totally love that, because if you do too much at the same time, it is not always effective.

So the brand is here to combine the huge popularity of yoga in the west while supporting vulnerable communities. For every natural CorkYogis mat purchased, the label provides a contribution towards a training course for one girl. For every CorkYogis bag purchased, you help someone else!

And the mats then? Well, we are coming to it right now!

CorkYogis – The Mats

The brand’s founder is herself a huge yoga fan but the constant slipping around on wet, sweaty mats became a bit too much for her. And then, she came across some Canadian paddleboarders using a cork surface for paddleboard yoga. L’idée de génie! The cork holds some amazing grip so that you don’t slip!

A great natural colour too!

We seem to do a lot of collabs with similar brands this week 🙂 It was the same concern for the brand Slipfree that we featured in Baba Fashionista!

I currently have a georgoues purple plastic yoga mat, but it does get quite slippy! I actually have a cork bath mat, which is great as it absorbs water really well and is non-slip (but would obviously be far too small to borrow to do yoga!), so a much larger version of that sounds like a great idea to replace my current yoga mat!

I think it’s a great idea to make a yoga mat from cork, I’d love to win this for my mum.
