Bonjour lecteurs! What American states would you love to visit the most? I have only made it to New York and we hope to take Stanley there one day. But another one sur ma liste would be California. Un classique like in the movies! Fancy travelling there too with the children one day? I have done a bit of recherche and here are 7 Things To Do in San Diego California With Kids.

Wherever we go, we usually love exploring the whole area.

It gives you an overall idée of the location and you can find some hidden gems that might not be in any guide or online.

So once you are there, start your American journey with one of the numerous Son Diego Tours.

If you fancy relaxing and something classique, go on a bus tour. But if you are sportier and fancy une aventure réelle, check out one of the San Diego Kayak Tours.  The La Jolla Sea Caves are one of the most fameux sites that you can visit and San Diego kayak tour companies offer une grande option for all ages and experience levels.

Visit La Jolla Cove

If you like nature and want to see something très spécial, you should for sure stop by La Jolla Cove.

Not only the beach is dreamy, but the water is calm enough for you to do all sorts of water sports like diving and snorkeling.

The area is also famous of its large colonies of sea lions. Apparently, you can observe them in their natural habitat while you are walking or even enjoying a family picnic!

The Old Town

Why not making it un voyage historique! The old town of San Diego is full of options.

Par exemple, you can step back in time to the 19th century with one of the walking tours that takes you to all the landmarks: Mason Street School, San Diego’s first one-room schoolhouse, the Whaley House Museum and the Junípero Serra Museum which sits on the site of the first permanent European settlement in California.

Or even the USS Midway Museum to learn all about the history of the US Navy!

For Animals Lovers

If you like some fresh air and looking at animals, then the San Diego Zoo is your spot.

Did you know? Le zoo pioneered cageless exhibits. It is so much less cruel and it makes the experience even more fun and informative.

It features over 4000 animals and you get to observe several ecosystems, from deserts to rainforests.

You can even hop on the Skyfari gondola lift to see the entire park from above.

Another lovely place in the area is the SEA LIFE Aquarium that is open all year long. You can even stay at one of the hotels on the premises to make it even more magical!

Carlsbad

Fancy a bit of fun?  Carlsbad is a family-friendly heaven with a theme park, an aquarium, and plenty of ways to Californian sunshine!

I would for sure stop by the fameux LEGOLAND California as Stanley is totally obsessed with Lego sets at the minute.

We’ve only made it to the one in Windsor when he was tiny, but I reckon the Californian version is something to see once in a lifetime!

As for the Carlsbad theme park, it is la place parfaite for for kids 12 and under. Indeed, it features over 60 rides and shows including movie character meet-and-greets, a dinosaur roller coaster, and a factory tour.

In the Spring and Summer, you should get a hopper ticket so that you can check out the water park.

Les Musées

But I also love the sound of the Fleet Science Centre that teaches them the power of science.

Oh and I would also love going to the New Children’s Museum.

I love California and I do feel quite fortunate that I have been three times because I have family over there. some in San Francisco and some in Los Angeles. It’s such a beautiful state. But I honestly never knew San Diego was so kid friendly too and definitely did not know there’s a Legoland there. Maybe we can make an excursion one day.
