Bonjour lecteurs! My new monthly highlights are coming later than usual for once. In between a busy March 2026 and the most recent Easter holiday break, I have not had a minute to reflect on the last few weeks. But I am all about routines and habits. So even if it’s delayed, I am showing up to share our highs and lows. As March 2026 came to an end, there was a lot to celebrate. From Grumpy Boyfriend’s birthday to my first solo trip to Portugal, it was fun and exciting! As always, it’s a reminder that Life moves in seasons, and this time of the year is probably my favourite. It’s a new phase with new objectives. Now more than ever, I am ready for my summer gal era.

Family Time in Kent
As February 2026 ended with a trip to memory lane in Beckenham, we were truly back in Ashford at the start of March 2026. Stanley went on a school trip, and we went to see Hoppers at le cinéma.
Did you see it? It was quite fun. I don’t often go into town, but it looked quite dead and depressing to be honest… How does your local area make you feel?

We moved to Ashford 8 years ago. It was never an exciting part of the world, but the villages around were pretty. Recently, I’ve been doubting this was our forever place more and more. I love living in Kent, so I can’t imagine we would live anywhere else. But I am dreaming of something else…
Fun in London
But London is only a short train journey away, and I certainement know how to make the most of it when I feel the urge.

Once I made it to Londres to catch up with my friend from Sandro. We had such a blast around some good food at the Dim Sum Library. I also got some beautiful bits for the summer, which I am excited to wear soon.

The same week, we went to our local Yo Sushi to learn how to make the famous Japanese dish. Yo Sushi School is such a fun idée if you are planning a family day out!

That was so much fun! Have you ever tried something similaire?

I also made it to a food tour in Soho, where I discovered some yummy new places to visit with the boys. From tapas to chocolate, the Chubby Fellow London Food Tour was l’excuse parfaite to explore the area differently. How can I forget the feeling of walking around Soho in the sunshine?
Mother’s Day Weekend
As Mother’s Day was upon us (it seems to be earlier and earlier each year!), I also stopped by Folkestone to check out the new Sea Scrub Sauna.

It’s such une belle idée for some well-being in the sunshine. The UK’s biggest beach spa is officiellement in Kent, and you must check it out.
It was the best feeling ever to be in the Scandinavian sauna while looking at the sunset. Quelle experience magique! It reminded me a bit of Pernille, the Norwegian TV Show I watched earlier this year.

After all that fun in Kent and London, I was already feeling spoiled. So Mother’s Day was a quiet one for us this year. We relaxed at home with a good book in our softest pyjamas. What did you do on the big day?
Solo Trip to the Algarve
March 2026 carried on with a fun solo trip to the Algarve. I really recommend this holiday destination. It was a first time for me and what a discovery!
I just fell in love with Loulé and Olhão, but there is so much more to explore and see in la région.

Have you ever been there? The food scene is incredible and there is a lot for the whole family to do there. I actually shared 7 Cool Things To Do in the Algarve with kids if you are looking at summer holiday options.
From cocktails overlooking at the sunset to a hike in the valleys, we did so many cool activities in a few days. The mini break was all that I needed: to escape the UK and have fun in the sunshine.

I am very much a summer gal, so the rest is yet to come. I can’t wait for sunny days and more adventures with my boys.
Joyeux Anniversaire Grumpy!
But it was time to get back to réalité. It was all about Grumpy, as we celebrated his birthday in London.

Au menu, I booked an experience like nothing else in Stratford. We ate at the Kokin London for its tuna samurai night and it was just epic! Don’t worry, the little one was with Nanny S and we had another mini party altogether the same day.
Last Weekend in London
As March 2026 was coming to an end, we made it back to London for a family weekend at the beautiful Indigo Clerkenwell.

But first, we made it to Kino London for more Japanese food. Chelsea looked ever so pretty for the occasion and Stanley had a blast making his own sushi encore!

Once settled in our London pied-à-terre, we headed to Old Spitafiled Market.

It was the best feeling to be there, shopping and trying new food scenes.

But we also stopped by the gorgeous Ampersand Hotel in South Kensington to try the Science Afternoon Tea. I really recommend you check it out if you have mini scientists at home. It was fun and colourful. En plus, who can say no to some yummy food?!

Spring was truly on its way, with more sunny family memories made…

To finish the month beautifully, I went to see The Red Shoes at the Marlowe Theatre. What a stunning ballet!

March 2026 – I’m Ready for my Summer Gal Era
I’ve said it before: Life is a cycle with seasons coming and going. Spring is my most joyful time of the year. I always feel rejuvenated and stronger then. The sun is out, the trees are in bloom and everything feels better after a bleak winter.

I am now ready to tackle anything that comes to me. It’s exciting and I can’t stop but think of new goals to achieve. Life moves in seasons, a bit like a garden. While January is exciting with new goals, the following weeks of the year can sometimes feel dormant. I am trying to establish good routines to set me up right for the year. But once Spring arrives, I am all about being out and about, making the most of what Nature has to offer.

March 2026 was l’exemple parfait of this shift. It was full on with many dates in the diary. Whether it was a local walk or a solo trip abroad, I could not wait to get out of the house and explore. I am done hibernating. Now, I want to reach another gear and do it all: rock at work, start a new side hustle in the fashion industry, but also spending quality time with my family. It promises to be busy, but bring it on! I am ready for it. Now more than ever, I am alive and hopeful for the future. This is my summer gal era and I am ready for it…

What are your big plans for Spring & Summer?
