Bonjour lecteurs! Are you planning a mini-break in London soon? Stop by Oxford Street for some Christmas shopping and see the lights for the occasion? A lovely tradition to have or get started around this time of the year, non? If so, I have for you la destination parfaite. We recently stayed at Andaz London Liverpool Street. And if you prefer some videos, check out now my Reel on Instagram.
Andaz London Liverpool Street
Located in the heart of East London, Andaz London Liverpool Street is a luxury hotel right next to the fameuse gare!
Perfect location in the vibrant Shoreditch district, the five-star hotel is actually one of the original London railway hotels.
Formerly known as the Great Eastern, the majestuous redbrick Victorian building is a true modern masterpiece inside.
Our Arrival
As soon as we arrived, the tone was set. The hotel might be dating back to 1884, but it is really modern and stylish once you are in.
Very spacious with over 260 rooms, it also includes a health club and a lounge where you can enjoy drinks.
Beautifully decorated, you have some modern touches, such as the paintings mixing with the original features.
The Atmosphere
Spitalfields, Shoreditch, and Brick Lane are a short walk away. So Andaz London Liverpool Street is very well located.
And if you like a bit of velvet, then you need to stop by and get a drink.
Because the lounge is just a set of flamboyant colours.
The chairs, the cushion or even the sofa… The woven tufted fabric gives the hotel a very warm atmosphere.
And once you go up the stairs, you are back to its origins. Both ambiances naturally mix for a modern and welcoming stay.
Our Family Room
We were lucky to get an interconnecting family room.
Our chambre was following a Japanese inspiration with illustrations on the front bed.
But also some lovely East London touches such as the books about the local area.
The room was very spacious.
More importantly, we had a direct view of Liverpool Street Sation as our room was literally above it.
It was something, especially at night!
The Bathroom
La salle de bains was made of white modern tiles.
We had a shower in ours and Stanley’s got the bath version.
It was clean and spacious. Très chic!
And so much room on the shelf to put my (numerous!) beauty products!
Deluxe Family Room
As we had a Deluxe Family Room, Stanley was lucky to have his own room.
With an enormous bed just for him!
And as a welcome present, he got some drinks and play-doh!
Such a sweet present to make our family stay even more spécial!
No need to say he was very pleased with his surprise.
Even more when he could play on his own desk and start making some new creations!
Even More!
Andaz London Liverpool is not only super well-located!
It has it all for you to relax. Even though we were in the heart of London, it was quiet at night and we had a good night sleep.
You can also eat at its two restaurants: the Miyako si vous préférez some exotic food. Or the Lady Abercorn if you fancy more a pub-style menu.
And between 6 pm and 7 pm, you can enjoy some complimentary drinks with amuse bouches while a DJ plays some musique.
We really enjoyed that! It was a nice way to start the evening before our dinner in the lounge.
Breakfast at Andaz London Liverpool Street
The day after, we woke up with this London buzz.
And for the petit-déjeuner, we had a blast!
Thanks to a large buffet, we got some yummy food!
You can also order some cooked breakfast.
So I selected some Eggs Benedict while Stanley got some pancakes.
London History & The City
We decided to explore the City. People were getting ready for Remembrance Day and its procession.
But we also stopped by the Museum of London.
It was so lovely to rediscover some key moments of the capital’s history.
I have never been to this musée and we did not get disappointed. It was very educational and fun.
The Museum of London might seem little compared to the British Museum or the Natural History Museum, but it is still worth a visit.
Quite interactive! I always love going back in time… Et vous?
Andaz London Liverpool Street – Le Verdict
Andaz London Liverpool Street is really un hotel spécial. Some might think it is aimed at business trips.
But it is so family-friendly too!
We adored the decor in the lounge.
And from start to finish, the team made sure that our stay was parfait!
We loved the small touches such as a complimentary mini-bar or even the present waiting for Stanley in his room.
The room was very spacious and lovely decorated with a mix of traditions and modern vibes.
More importantly, I love the way Andaz London Liverpool Street is always celebrating the East side of London.
If you are looking for a luxury family-friendly hotel with some artistic vibes, then this is your place!
You will love it and maybe, like us, you might end up rediscovering some parts of London you never imagined…

Was there a living room area between the 2 bedrooms or just a small hallway with the bathroom?

There was a door and we had two interconnecting rooms. With two individual bathrooms. No living area as so but as you can see, lots of space in each room with a desk area.
