Bonjour lecteurs! Are your children mini explorers? We are always up for une aventure à la campagne, especially when it is a bit glam too! We went Glamping In A Bell Tent At Woolton Farm near Canterbury a few days ago and it was absolutely beautiful! L’excuse parfaite to reconnect with nature and sleep under the stars without sacrificing small luxuries.
Woolton Farm
Woolton Farm in Bekesbourne near Canterbury is the home of the award-winning cider Kentish Pip.
But not only! You can also enjoy some Woolton Farm wines in the beautiful settings or even go for a wine tasting.
Housed in an original structure dating back to the 14th Century, this historic Kentish Tithe Barn and its outdoor seatings offer a lovely space to relax and enjoy some good food with your family.
All drinks are locally produced and sourced so that you can enjoy a real taste of Kent!
New South-African BBQ Menu
Woolton Farm has recently collaborated with The Saffa Bru (Afrikaans for ‘South African brother’) and launched an exciting new dining experience.
The Saffa Bru at Woolton is a collaboration between Woolton and South African chef Keaton Randall.
To celebrate the launch, we were invited to taste the new menu along with some drinks from the farm.
Choose from a very summery BBQ selection: burgers, lamb chops, rump steak kebabs, or even chicken skewers…
As soon as we arrived, we were amazed by the beauté of the barn and its surroundings.
Exploring The Barn & The Gardens
You get to relax straight away. We ordered some of the local drinks.
The atmosphere was joyful with many cyclists and locals stopping by for a bit of food.
But also family-friendly and dog-friendly bien sûr! Stanley was quick to make some friends and explore the back fruit garden.
The place is huge with over 600 acres of land.
A must-see in Kent for a bit of a walk and some yummy drinks afterward.
Vineyard Walk & Wine Tasting
After our food, we got to have a vineyard walk and even enjoy a personal wine tasting with Woolton’s Managing Director, Sam Mount.
I really recommend Woolton Farm’s rosé. Definitely mon préféré among the lovely sélection of wines the brand offers.
The Sparkling Rosé is a good one too! Parfait for the summer, especially if you enjoy a picnic after a long walk in the Kentish countryside.
Stanley was in his élément too, discovering the land, running around and looking for ladybirds while I was savouring some delicious wine.
It’s so lovely to see a family business proud of its origins! Sam was truly passionate about the estate and the collection of Woolton Farm wines.
Glamping In A Bell Tent At Woolton Farm
After a quick escapade to Sandwich (I can’t believe we had never stopped by before! It’s such a charming town!), we came back to the farm.
It was time to set up our stuff in our very own Frenchie Bell Tent for the night.
Indeed, Woolton Farms offers a series of accommodations for you to truly relax and spend more time in the gorgeous place.
Bell tents, cottages, or proper camping! Whatever you need for your family!
There are eight Bell Tents at the back of the garden, with a view of the barn.
It was deliciously warm. So peaceful for another glass of wine and some cheeky ice cream!
Our Frenchie Bell Tent
Our Frenchie Bell Tent was quite spacious and well decorated.
Furnished with a double futon and soft furnishings, you can sleep up to 4 people in a bell tent.
We got some extra camping matrices for Stanley and he was so excited to have such an adventure!
The tents are well spaced along the back of the gardens, nestled in a row of cobnut trees with views into the fruit garden and onto the barn.
You also get a 500-lumen rechargeable torch and there is a locker with mobile phone charging points near the toilets and shower space.
Le plus? The WIFI signal was really good. Not that I spent much time on my phone. I wanted to make the most of it.
We spent the rest of the evening drinking wine in the barn with some good company before going to sleep.
Bonjour Woolton Farm!
We had such a great night! I slept like a bébé despite Stanley ending up in our bed. How did this happen…
It was so comfy and we did not hear a peep! Not even the gorillas from the nearby Howletts Wild Animal Park.
We walked around the garden for a bit, enjoyed more of the sunshine, and got some bacon and egg rolls in the shade.
We decided to go for a morning walk before heading home.
Such a beautiful space! But we got to see it all, get some more fresh air and it was so relaxing!
Glamping In A Bell Tent At Woolton Farm – Le Verdict
We had such a gorgeous glamping experience at Woolton Farm!
I am not the camping type of girl, so it was parfait for us to have an adventure with all the petites luxuries from the bell tent.
The place is absolutely gorgeous and Woolton Farm makes a great option for you to enjoy a Kent adventure.
The food from the new BBQ menu was really yummy. The atmosphere was friendly and the service was great.

We had a lovely time and came home relaxed and tanned!
What else could we ask for?
Disclosure: We were invited to Woolton Farm as part of the launch party. All opinions are my own.
That looks beautiful. I love camping, although i’ve never been glamping before! I love that its all set up for you, ready, so you don’t need to take all of your camping equipment with you! And the farm looks so wonderful!
I can’t wait to go glamping with the kiddies. You guys looked like you had so much fun. And what a beautiful place to glamp too, so green and lush. I might consider this place when we’re ready to glamp. Quite easy to get to from London too
