Bonjour lecteurs! Do you have any Christmas traditions as a family? A day out you have each year? A show you always go and see? Or even a movie you religiously watch? We have always kept it quite simple so far. Santa’s Grotto was our way to do it. But this year, we were lucky to be invited to the fabulous Christmas Orchestral Adventure at the Royal Albert Hall. And let me tell you, this is something I want to do each year!
Christmas With The Royal Albert Hall
The so fameux concert hall in South Kensington has a lovely festive programme this year again.
If you are a music lover or fancy a lovely day out with your family, have a look at the performances still on until the start of January.
Now, it is truly beginning to look a lot like Christmas, so get into a festive mood in one of the most stylish landmarks of the capital.
If you follow us on Instagram, you will have seen that we enjoyed the Christmas Orchestral Adventure at the Royal Albert Hall this weekend.
We truly had a magical time. Let me tell you more.
Our Christmas Orchestral Adventure
Christmas has begun for sure at the Royal Albert Hall. And we might have found a new family tradition to enjoy 🙂
The show is calling all Santa’ little helpers out there! Albert’s Orchestra were back this year again for you to enjoy some classical music with all the family.
L’histoire was really sweet for the occasion. Indeed, Father Christmas has lost his map on a practice run of his delivery route… Oh, non!
So you need to help him to get it back to be ready for the big day!
Are you ready for some adventure full of fun and music?
A Mini-Review
Do you like dancing and singing while being part of a show?
Well, the Christmas Orchestral Adventure should be on your list for next year!
The show is fun and engaging. We were among a really excited audience taking part in some musical and singing challenges and we had such a lovely time!
The symphony orchestra brought us into a festive world of adventures.
Featuring a bear, some Christmas jumpers (they had to!) and lots of lovely Christmas tunes, the show was pure magic.
We danced, we clapped and enjoyed the view from the circle. We even went on a bear hunt!!! If that is not mega fun, what is it?
The conductor and his team did a great job of getting the public to take part and I saw many little ones’ faces with sparkles in their eyes.
Baba was well into it. No need to say that he had a blast!
After nearly 2 hours of fun and giggles, while singing along with the crowd (very badly in my case!), we left the concert hall with smiles on our faces. And ready to enjoy Christmas next week!
Christmas Orchestral Adventure – Le Verdict
I have been to many ‘grown-up’ shows at the Royal Albert Hall and it was always a great experience. The hall is always stunning, and it was clearly Christmas ready for the occasion.
But, the Christmas Orchestral Adventure did not disappoint. The story is sweet and engaging for all the family to have fun.
With the lights and the music, you are transported into some magical afternoon. If you want to start a new family tradition to get you ready for Christmas, this is for you.
The Christmas Orchestral Adventure is marvellously sweet. Sit down and relax with a drink or take part in the fun and see your little ones dancing to some beautiful songs.
Get ready to be enchanted within some sumptuous surroundings! Christmas in London with classical music for younger ones!
Such a great way to introduce children to the world of the orchestra…or l’excuse parfaite to be out in London with your family!

Disclosure: With thanks to the Royal Albert Hall for inviting us to see the Christmas Orchestral Adventure for free.
Looks like you had a fab time.
I am glad you had a great time, I made my first visit to The Royal Albert Hall earlier this year and I thought the building itself was wonderful!

LOOKS spectacular!!!
Wow, what an amazing event. Your boy look like he had a great time
What a lovely experience for you all – one of the advantages of living in or very close to the capital. Sadly, here where I live, there’s nothing remotely similar, but our tradition is to take the boys to a local panto each year, be it professional or put on by their school. There’s always good fun to be had. “Oh, yes there is!”….
This looks like a great experience and I agree that it is a good way to introduce children to the world of the orchestra
It’s so lovely that the conductor got the audience to take part where they could – it must make it feel super magical!
Wow that looks spectacular! The Royal Albert Hall is such an incredible venue!
What a magical experience for all – would love to see too
this sounds lovely, ive always wanted to go see something there!
This sounds like a great Christmas experience for children.
I also think it’s a great idea to introduce children to ‘proper’ music from the earliest possible age. If they’re used to hearing classical music at home, all well and good. But if they’ve been brought up on a diet of pop music and children’s songs, it’s good to let them know there are other sorts of music out there too.
I love Baba’s adorable reindeer Christmas jumper and little boots! So cute 🙂
This sounds amazing, sounds like you had a great time.
