Bonjour lecteurs! Time to reflect on May 2026 and all that the month brought in. On one hand, I got to enjoy many luxurious experiences (a trip to Croatia and some dreamy London stays). But in my last monthly highlights, I also get to reflect on a more spiritual level. As Summer is approaching fast, now more than ever, I am ready to step up into a new era of my life. I now have the confidence to go after my desires without feeling it’s ever too much. No more playing small! It’s time to shine. Are you prepared to enter a new era too?
Reaching Spirituality
May 2026 started slowly with simple moments. In between daily walks, birthday celebrations and staring the search for the perfect secondary school, I still managed to be as productive as possible.

This year more than ever, I want to celebrate all those small moments of joy that we often overlook. Whether it’s a lovely day out with the boys or a podcast that inspired me, I recognise more that those little snippets of life are still valuable. I want to reach a certain level of spirituality.

It was an aspect of my life I’ve been wanting to explore more, but never did sérieusement. May 2026 was filled with more affirmations tracks, meditation practice and tapping sessions. It helped me reach some peace within me and that was the best feeling ever. What are your favourite mindful habits to be the best version of yourself possible?

Croatia with More Sailing
The month was hardly starting that I was off to Croatia with More Sailing. J’adore Central Dalmatia and the whole trip was simplement the perfect escape to reality.

I can still remember my first solo trip as a blogger and the level of guilt I was feeling back then about leaving the boys on their own. The truth being told, they adored the freedom and I absolutely loved exploring new lands on my own.

Those days are well over and I fully immersed myself into this voyage. While staying on a beautiful catamaran, I made new friends and I discovered some stunning coastal villages and secluded coves. Have you ever been to Croatia?
Back To London
On my return, I was quickly back to mummy mode and its endless duties. From school run to extra learning, I was definitely back home.

I might have felt some nostalgia not to be on a boat among some turquoise waters. But it was lovely to spend some quality time with Stanley.

Au programme, we attended a workshop at the Bread Ahead Bakery School where he made some yummy scones. Now, you know how much we love afternoon teas. So it was l’activité parfaite after a wander around Borough Market London Bridge.

I also caught up with my friend Angy at Aqua Nueva for some retail therapy and a cheeky cocktail or two on the rooftop terrace.
Weekend in Stratford
Half-term was upon us, so I booked a weekend in Stratford with the boys. It was a real scorcher, but we had so much fun exploring the East Village. You need to check out the Tumbling Bay Playground next time you are in the area.

Pour l’occasion, we stayed at The Gantry Hotel and we had a beautiful time.

Think endless mocktails in the sunshine with many games of Uno, finishing the day with some yummy European food.

We also made it to Immerse London to see the new Cleopatra Experience. It was the most exciting history lesson thanks to all the VR and metaverse experiences.
OneFifty Fenchurch
How long was the school break down your end? Stanley had two weeks off. So I was on une mission to keep him busy at all times.

It was easy thanks to another stay in The City with Onefifty Fenchurch.

We stayed in a beautifully decorated family studio while exploring some cult London tourist attractions.

Au programme, we checked out the new Tower of London River Tours before making it to the fameux château.

London Fun
We also stopped by St Katherine Docks and Madame Tussauds London for a bit of fun.

Have you ever been there? I had not made it to the famous wax museum since the early 2000s and it changed so much!

Not to worry, I got to have a chat with Posh & Becks, while the boys enjoyed taking snaps with all the cast of Star Wars.
Oh and to finish with a somptueux Peter Pan Afternoon Tea at Aqua Shard. It’s one of my favourite cream teas in London. It’s a must see for its incredible views with some magical food.

And just like that, May 2026 was over… but not the school holidays! As Stanley had an extra week off, we headed to Norfolk. But this will be in my June 2026 highlights.
May 2026 – Stepping Up Into a New Era
May 2026 was truly epic! In between my solo trip to Croatia and many adventures with the boys on top of work and life en général, I was well occupied.
But most importantly, I am now actively thinking about the next chapter. Summer is upon us and it usually inspires me more than ever. 2026 has been a real gem so far, but I am actively preparing for next year and beyond. I am trying to leave behind outdated habits with a fresh mindset. Now more than ever, it all about aligning daily routines with the person I want to become.

I very much feel that Life is a cycle and I am ready for a new chapter. To be totally honnête, I am not sure of what the future will look like. There are so many things I am yet to achieve. Par exemple, I wish for more adventures, but also more wealth. More than ever, I feel that I am ready for it. Bring it on Summer 2026! This is only the beginning to a new area of abundance.

What era of your life are you currently starting? Whatever stage you are in your life, embrace this cycle. Whether you are currently navigating a tough time or simply reflecting on how far you’ve come, believe in your abilities. Beautiful things are ahead of you. After all, “Life is like a garden, you reap what you sow.” – Paulo Coelho.
Wishing you a fun & colourful summer. Fingers crossed the British weather holds it together!
Disclosure: This post might feature some sponsored content I recently published but it is merely a list of my highlights of the month! This a post where I share some reflections as a mum in the country and in London. I hope it will inspire you to get on more family adventures
Inquiring minds want to know………
The pictures you are in, who’s taking the picture? I figure it’s someone who is as tall as you, or taller. And what camera is being used? Smartphone or actual camera?
Your May looks full, fun and busy!
I’m in my golden ages and loving every minute. Being a cancer survivor, these past 20 years have been wonderful and I’m actually looking forward to the next 20.
All the best.

Oh thank you so much. My partner usually takes them or even my son or friends joining me during my adventures. We use my Honor Phone, this brand has excellent lenses. Yes I agree to making the most of it. Cecile
Sounds like a fantastic month! July will be a little like that: a solo trip to Arizona to visit a friend for me, a few days in South Carolina with 2 of my boys while the other has a camp there, some get together with friends! I do try to enjoy all the small moments like coffee on the porch, a special treat, playing games with the boys or just quiet time in my room with a puzzle.
