A Child Free Night At The Gantry London

Bonjour lecteurs! I usually love sharing family-friendly places for you to check out with your tribe. Well, for once, we made it to London just the two of us at the end of March. Indeed, it was Grumpy Boyfriend’s birthday, so we dropped the Frenchie babe at Nanny S and got a train into town together. After a lovely show and some yummy cocktails, we made it to one of our fave parts of London, Stratford. Time to enjoy a Child Free Night At The Gantry London…

The Gantry London

Do you like les hôtels modernes et chics? The Gantry London is an edgy location in town where you can sleep with style, but also eat and socialise.

Part of the Hilton Curio collection, the hotel is right by Stratford International and the Westfield Shopping Centre.

You can’t miss the beautiful building. Once you are in, you are immédiatement transporté into elegance.

Indeed, the Gantry London is well established in the trendy area and the décor will not disappoint you.

L’Atmosphère

As for the ambience, think chic and modern lines with dark colours for une atmosphère relaxée, yet luxurious.

As soon as we arrived at la réception, the tone was set and I knew it was la place parfaite for a romantic weekend.

Mind you, it is spacious and I would easily imagine kids being at home too. It was busy and vibrant.

Pas de surprise, The Gantry is THE place to check out in the area! Stop for a drink at its cocktail bar or a café on the ground floor where you can work with style.

Either way, j’adore les touches élégantes et modernes! Hotels from the Hilton Curio collection always have this luxurious and trendy vibe.

Our Frenchie Room

For once, we did not get a family room. Yet, our chambre was spacieuse and we had all we needed for a pied à terre in town.

Made of a large bed and big windows to give us plenty of light, we also had a relaxing corner where you could read a book and enjoy a coffee.

The velvet cushions, the chairs and all the minimalist furniture give it some modern, yet relaxing vibes.

C’est chic et moderne, but not over the top!

And regardez this fabulous bathroom!

So much space to put my toileteries and j’adore the white tiles for a luminous experience.

Once more, the bathroom was light, modern and trendy.

Dinner at Union Social

After a cocktail or two in town, we were eager to relax.

But it was his birthday, so we made it to the Union Social restaurant for dinner. The place proved to be a popular choice in the area.

Le restaurant features again a very modern and edgy décor. It’s like being in an urban jungle and there is also a beautiful bar for you to enjoy a drink or two.

The cuisine is a mix of European dishes and Asiatic food. It’s fancy and young, but also full of flavours.

We selected some spring rolls and a classic burgers topped up with a Japanese cocktail. Overall, the food was really délicieuse but the service was a bit slow.

Le Petit-Déjeuner

The day after, we made it back to the urban jungle for breakfast and we enjoyed our food while looking at the shopping centre.

I loved seating in such a location and even stopped by the outdoors terrace to enjoy my coffee.

With all the regulars with classic British Breakfast, fruits, pastries, other treats, the Union Social ticked all the boxes again.

It’s a beautiful space to start the day right.

The Gantry London – Le Verdict

And just like that, our London date was over.

Overall, our stay at the Gantry London was beautiful. It’s such a stunning hotel and our room was spacious and beautifully decorated.

We had all the amenities we needed to relax with a touch of luxury.
