Bonjour lecteurs! What do you think about this quote? ‘The Best Time For New Beginnings Is Now’. While preparing my new Monthly Highlights, I felt so strongly that new beginnings were ahead of me. There have been some big changes in my life last month and I am full aware that they will have a huge impact (for the best!) on my family life! And then, I came across this quote and I felt it was so approprié for the circumstances. So here we are… March 2024 is all about remembering that The Best Time For New Beginnings Is Now.
A Weekend Away To Start
We had the most magical start in March! Indeed, I am very lucky to experience some of the best adventures thanks to my work.
But staying at The Ashdown Park Hotel was truly something. We LOVE this place so much. We have many happy memories there, so we were very excited to have a little family staycation in the heart of East Sussex.
After a relaxing time there, we even stopped by Scotney Castle, a beautiful National Trust Site near Tunbridge Wells.
That’s my kind of weekends! I felt so happy and energised.
It was difficile to get back to routines after such a delightful trip. But we made it ok in the end.
What About Home Schooling?
Unfortunately, Stanley had to go through a lot of changes at school and I really feel like Year 3 has been a waste so far. As a mother, I am always so concerned, but he seems to be happy at school.
And I am confident he will be alright because I am making sure he is always an active learner. L’idée to home school him has been on my mind quite a bit, but I don’t think it would be the right thing for us.
What are you views on home schooling? It seems to be so popular among families. I totally appreciate where they are coming from on this matter. I feel the British education system is failing so badly.
But Also Some Good Things!
But life is to be celebrated and we also had many succés in March 2024.
My numerous Mother’s Day giveaways proved to be popular and I am glad you enjoyed it!
It’s always been important to treat my readers too.
And of course, we had a beautiful time for Mother’s Day. It was pretty chilled in the Frenchie house this year.
But we stopped by Boys Hall for lunch. Now, that’s what I call a treat!
New Challenge
If you’ve been following me for quite a while, you know how much I love learning.
March 2024 has seen me starting a new challenge with the ever so fabulous Mel Robbins. I ordered her famous High 5 Daily Journal and j’adore!!!
I have been feeling ever so more productive since using it every morning. It keeps me on track and I am so excitée to see what 2024 has in line for me!
A New Era
This means so much to me, especially since I have now officiellement left my day job.
After a year and a half there, it was time for me to go. I mentioned in my February 2024 post, it was time for une décision importante with my career.
We had a fun leaving party with my colleagues (turns out I am not that bad at bowling after all lol), and I had mixed feelings once the night with them was over.
Do you remember how I keep going on and on about having this work / life balance? Well, I’ve been feeling like a fraud lately, not doing what I was preaching.
So on one hand, I know it’s the right décision for me to have left. But the team was so LOVELY with me. I was a bit emotional and I must admit I am sad to have left such a fabulous band of people.
Spring Equinox
Coincidentally, it was the Spring Equinox right after my last day at work.
It was a bright and gorgeous day. I was very productive and after school, we went to the park with Stanley.
It was so strange to realise that at the same time that a new era was staring for me, it was also a new beginning in the universe. It’s a sign that it was the right choice for us!
And so I was ready to get that balance back! I’ve been exercising more, going out for walks and bike rides as soon as I could. I have really found some peace since then!
But I also got more time to have fun with my friends and enjoy simple things such as a huge platter of sushi like this!
Grumpy Boyfriend’s Birthday
But enough talking about me! The end of March 2024 was all about Grumpy Boyfriend for his birthday!
Pour l’occasion, we had a romantic weekend in London, just the two of us.
Direction Mr Fogg’s Society of Exploration for a few cheeky cocktails before seeing the Book Of Mormon at the theatre.
That was fun! And we stayed at the stunning Gantry London in Stratford! Wow, that was something else too! The hotel is edgy and sleek with a touch of luxury! It’s all we love!
Synchronicity
Another beautiful weekend with my man and it was time to get back to réalité.
I made it to the hospital with Stanley for a check up with his heart and we are all good! Hurrah! It was such a worry, especially when he was a bébé…
I also went for a local walk in a neighbourhood where we nearly bought a house back in 2018 and I witnessed the most remarkable example of synchronicity.
You know, when you encounter an occurrence of meaningful coincidences that seem to have no cause. You know when you come across something by accident and yet, you were thinking about it a bit before? Another sign for me!
So bizarre but interesting…
March 2024 – The Best Time For New Beginnings Is Now
Et voilà! March 2024 was to be over. We had a quiet Easter as the weather was not that great and I was feeling quite unwell.
I think perimenopause might be started for me and it’s a killer! I lack energy and I can be in so much pain, I can’t do nothing… Any advices from your own experience are always welcome.
But on the bright side, March 2024 reminded me more than ever of this beautiful quote. All the signs, the coincidences and little things that happened are a proof that I am in a new era of my life!
And more importantly, a great reminder that it’s never too late and that you are never too old to start something!
Now that I am not working part-time anymore, I have a couple of projects I would like to develop. But I will also take things to a more simple level and avoid overwhelm.
My time, your time, our time is NOW! So if you too are thinking about starting a new project or leaving a situation that doesn’t make you happy anymore, this is your sign to go for it. What will it be for you?
Wishing you a beautiful and sunny Spring.

This was a good read – you certainly keep your self busy!
