Family-Friendly Easter Events in the UK

This year, we will be spending Easter with our family. The Easter Break brings many cute days out in the UK.

From heritage sites, gardens and wildlife parks, there are many locations hosting activities throughout the school holidays.

You can’t go wrong with an English Heritage site or even visiting your local National Trust property. This year, they are running Easter egg trails from £3 to £5 per person. C’est fantastique to explore with the little ones, with sweet rewards across dozens of historic estates and gardens.

In Kent, I also recommend you check out Leeds Castle. This year, you can enjoy an Easter Quest from 28th March to 19th April. Stop by the falconry displays and the play areas within the castle grounds for a fun day out.

We also love Hever Castle near Edenbridge over Easter. Stay overnight in the castle and check out  the Great Dragon Egg Hunt during the same period, where young adventurers design dragon shields before embarking on quests through spring gardens (from £19.55 for adults and £11.50 for children).

Closer to home, Kent’s Howletts and Port Lympne safari parks offer animal encounters alongside Easter trails, typically priced between £20 and £30 per person, depending on experiences chosen.

If you are willing to travel slightly further afield, Kew Gardens hosts its Easter Festival with nature-themed activities and spectacular spring blooms. It is quite something!

Affordable All-Inclusive Easter Breaks Abroad

Have you ever been abroad for the Easter weekend? We made it to Crete a few years back, and it was fabulous to get a bit of sunshine altogether.

For families with younger children looking for hassle-free holidays, all-inclusive holidays in European sunshine destinations are la solution parfaite. They are stress-free, and it’s a lot of fun guaranteed.

Spain’s Costa Blanca and Costa del Sol are great options because of the short flight times. Plus, you can be sure of warm spring weather. No wonder why family-orientated resorts with beaches nearby are polulaires over the Easter break. But La Costa Daurada would also be a great choice!

The Antalya region in Turkey is also good with its larger resort. Au menu, waterparks, extensive entertainment programmes and competitive pricing that stretches family budgets further.

It’s also worth considering The Canary Islands, particularly Tenerife and Lanzarote. It’s pretty sunny at this time of the year. C’est la location parfaite for parents to relax and the children to have fun in the pool.

Are you looking forward to Easter 2026? Whatever you are up to, a local day out with your loved ones or some other adventures abroad, it promises to be exciting for the little ones. Personnellement, I am all about the good food and the extra chocolate. After all, we are allowed to indulge a little bit that week…

Happy Easter 2026!
