Bonjour lecteurs! Are you looking forward to Christmas? I am very excited as we will be celebrating it for the first time in our very own home! Well, we will be in France the Jour de Noël but I can not wait to see all the decorations people will put on their house in our neighboorhood! If you also follow us on Instagram, you would have seen that I already posted a couple of pictures about the festive season. And to make it even better, Baba officially met Santa Clause for the first time this weekend as we experienced the #MagicOfChristmas at Dobbies Christmas Grotto!
About Our Letter to Santa…
We have been many times to our local Dobbies Garden Center. Now that we are enjoying the life of the country, we have been doing a bit in our garden and our house thanks to the brand! En plus, they have a fabulous food section too that I am struggling to resist!

As we were invited to take part in the #MagicOfChristmas at Dobbies Christmas Grotto, we headed over there this weekend.
After checking out the selection of trees, Christmas photo cards, and decorations the shop has, we wrote a letter to Santa.

Baba asked for more cars and trains while I wished for a big diamond! I will not share with you what Grumpy Boyfriend put on his list. It is just too rude… I must admit I did not realise he added up some stupid comments before we posted the list!

Santa Claus, please I must apologise for his cheekiness! Just ignore his comments and make Baba wishes true!

We Met Santa Clause, the First Time Ever!
But never mind that! Baba got to meet Santa Claus and he really enjoyed it. Well, it was not to be a victory at first as le Frenchie bébé was quite suspicious of the great man 🙂
Nevertheless, he got convinced to sit down next to him as soon as he saw that he had a present for him!

That is definitely the way to get my son! He is like Maman and loves a good gift!
Funnily enough, it was officially the first time that he met him. I did not take Baba to a Christmas Grotto last year. He was still small and would have not understood it.
So one to keep in the memories’ box!
A Special Afternoon Tea
Later on was a very VIP Afternoon Tea with le Père Noël! How exciting! We had a really yummy selection of sandwiches, scones and pastries.

Baba went straight away for the chocolate bits!

The Elves were very nice and played with him while Grumpy Boyfriend and I enjoyed a bit of peace!
It must be said that Baba has plenty of energy! So it was a delight to see those brave elves to take over for a bit and for moi to relax 🙂
Games and charades followed up with Santa. At 4.30pm, we were all very tired and decided to go home!
But what a blast for Baba!
#MagicOfChristmas at Dobbies Christmas Grotto
We really enjoyed our #MagicOfChristmas at Dobbies Christmas Grotto. The shop looked so lovely with its Christmas range! We will be back soon to select a few bits for sure! Plus, Santa Claus and his team were so nice!

I can not believe how much they did with Baba! They played so much with him and we could just sit down and enjoy our tea while filming it all for us to look back at it later on!

If you have not booked anything yet, have a look at your local Dobbies Center and see all its Christmas Events!
You will for sure have a lot of fun!

What a fun way to start the festive season! I can not wait to do more Christmassy activities with my Baba!

Disclosure: With thanks to Dobbies for inviting us to its #MagicOfChristmas!
Un peu de fashion…

It is wonderful when the children enjoy this magical experience.
Sounds like a magical day
We visited our local Dobbies Grotto too and we loved it – almost identical to yours!
I’m always in Dobbies Lasswade and it’s fantastic for children. We loved Santa’s grotto.
my granddaughter hates anyone with a beard, so taking her to her first grotto is going to be an interesting experience!!!
It looks as though they have thought of everything. A really lovely day out.
I love the photo with your little boy
We went to see santa at our local garden centre with the other mums I met at baby massage group. It was lovely to see everyone again, but my LO was not a fan of Mr Claus!
It looks like you had a great day out!
Love the jumper, would quite like one myself!!! I believe in Santa too
Glad you appreciated the hard-working elves! My son’s girlfriend was an elf at Santa’s Grotto in a big store last year. She found it exhausting dealing with so many over-excited kids every day, and having to always look cheerful even if she felt really exasperated trying to get a squirming toddler or reluctant small child to sit and have his/her photo taken with Santa. She has sworn never to do elf work again, and when they asked her to work there again this year she politely declined.
So sweet. Looks real magical. I wish we had a Dobbies near us.
What a lovely day out
We took my daughter to see Santa for the first time yesterday, she’s only 10 months old but still gave him a big smile 🙂 looks like you all had great fun!
