Bonjour lecteurs! Time to reflect on my monthly highlights. Despite the first two weeks with Baba at home, we still did so much! We enjoyed local walks in Kent. And once the lockdown eased, we officially hit the beach as well as a Bodiam Castle! Workwise, I went into second gear as I gave the blog a fresh new look and I (eventually!) launched a Frenchie Newsletter! Wow! June 2020 was crazy…good! ?
Blog Anniversary
But let’s start with the technical bits! June 2020 started with a special party!
Indeed, it was my Blog Anniversary, as 4 years ago, a young first-time maman decided to create the Frenchie Mummy so that she could have her own little outlet while on maternity leave!
OMG! I can no believe it has already been 4 ans! I looked back at my early posts and realised how far I have come.
This blog gave me so much more than a little space to express my rants. Et oui, I still do one of those from time to time. As a matter of fact, I just had one this week about parents in the lockdown if you fancy a read…
Our Frenchie Newsletter & Giveaways
But anyway, to mark this event, I gave the blog a brand new look. Vous aimez?
I hope! Let me know any feedback or suggestions you may have!
I also started my own Frenchie Newsletters (sign up now on the side with the gold box?) and… I organised a massive Blog Anniversary Giveaways Series with over £600 worth of goods to win!
Par exemple, you can grab an Adult Micro Scooter worth £149!
And there will be more coming up this Summer! So make sure to sign up now to the Frenchie Newsletter HERE! We have some good surprises for you.
Local Walks in Kent
On a more family level, we enjoyed some lovely summer walks in the area with the boys.
I promise I will soon publish more posts with villages in Kent for you to check out!
It has had a great reception and many of you actually got in touch to ask for plus! So here are some snaps of our local adventures while it was hot and sunny.
But I will publish plus de détails with some places you can see in Kent ASAP!
Thanks again to those who took the time to message me. I am so happy this content is useful!
Conningbrook Lake
And if you fancy a cute place in Ashford where you can easily keep a distance, I suggest you come to Conningbrook Lakes Country Park.
It is so pretty and peaceful!
We had a mini picnic and relaxed in the shades with Baba and it was pure bliss! I come down here often on my bike and the view is always stunning, whatever time of the day!
Back To Nursery
Baba also went back to the nursery the third week. I was a bit stressée about it?
But it went so well and he is truly loving it!
It also gives me a bit more time to work and I have felt way better. I have achieved so much because I can focus 100% on my work!
En plus, he loves being with some of his friends and his key worker.
Shopping At Ashford Designer Outlet
As a little treat after 3 months of non-stop juggling it all with Baba at home, I decided to visit the Ashford Designer Outlet ?
And let me tell you… I had missed shopping way too much! LOL
OMG! I bought a couple of new staple pieces for my Summer wardrobe and I am in love with them! Grumpy is not… But never mind! ?
One of my faves has to be this beautiful GAP Gingham dress.
Baba enjoyed himself aussi. His first week back at the nursery was so successful, we decided to treat him to a cheeky milkshake at Five Guys.
Ok! I also had one ??
Father’s Day With Grumpy Grandad
As we were then allowed to create a bubble with Grumpy Grandad, we came down to visit him on Father’s Day.
We had a BBQ in the garden.
L’excuse parfaite to showcase my new Sandro dress…
Overdoing it? Well, I have not been out properly for ages so I made the most of it!
Not sure the locals properly enjoyed this beauté but I did!
Dymchurch & Bodiam Castle
We also enjoyed some days à la mer! Dymchurch! Here we came!
It was busier than usual but I made sure to pack some bubbles.
We had such a lovely day! There is nothing better than some vitamin D on your skin to feel wow!
And we enjoyed Biodam Castle during the last weekend of the month.
Gosh! We actually did so much!!
June 2020 – Launching The Frenchie Newsletter & Days Out
June 2020 was definitely the busiest month we have had in a long time! While May looked really quiet with just many walks and nothing more, June has been intense.
I must say that I have truly been overwhelmed by the response to my Blog Anniversary Giveaways Series and the Frenchie Newsletter ?
Have you signed up yet? It’s HERE!
Anyway, I am already tanned and way fitter because of all the exercise we have been doing outdoors!
Plus, I have also managed a daily workout at home! I will not complain. I actually feel happier and stronger than ever ?
And I also squeezed in a picnic with the girls! We picked up some yummy food at Macknade Elwick Place for a catch-up and it felt SO GOOD.
Stop by this beautiful dining hall if you are in Ashford. You can shop a lot of local produits délicieux.
Now, all I want is a holiday abroad in July! Do you think it will happen? ?
What have you been up to in June? What are your plans for July? Any nice British break on the horizon?
Disclosure: No sponsored content this month! It is merely a summary list of my fave moments! And a post for me to reflect on our life. Merci for reading my blog as always!
