Bonjour lecteurs! Time to reflect on what we did in June 2019 and share with you my monthly highlights. I can’t believe already half of the year has passed by! So happy that the weather is sunny too! I am ready to rock July. Last month was really a mixed bag of feelings. We had some super great moments such as the Spice Girls concert. I had not seen them live for over 20 years, so it was huge to me! We also had to deal with chickenpox. But the month ended en beauté! Wishing you a lovely Summer! And a lovely evening too!
Starting June 2019 with Dymchurch
The start of June was great. We had a lovely day out in Dymchurch. It was totally impromptu and we had a blast at the fair.
Relaxing by the sea, Baba enjoyed playing in the sand and it was good to get some fresh air.
But I felt overwhelmed with work on the first week. On top of it, Baba was quite demanding. En plus, as we went to Cyprus in May, we spent 24/7 together for over two weeks. I reckon it was a bit too much for both of us.
If you are a full-time mama at home and your little ones don’t go to the nursery, I admire you! I love Baba to pieces, but there are times when I need to do something else than slime, playground or soft play…
Spice Girls Concert
Thanks to my amazing Grumpy Boyfriend, I eventually had a little break. My partner bought me tickets to see the Spice Girls live and we went to Coventry to spice up our life (we could not get tickets in London!!!).
I was unsure about it. Being a huge fan, I thought I would be disappointed without Posh. Well, let me tell you. It was AMAZING!!!! I absolutely loved it and the atmosphere was fabulous! I did not realise that they were such a hit for so many generations! GIRL POWER!!
#WaitroseUnpacked
After this mini-break, it was back to work. I was not asked to mention about #WaitroseUnpacked on the blog (we worked with the brand on my Instagram), but I can not do my monthly highlights without mentioning it.
The shop launched an innovative in-store test taking hundreds of products out of their packaging! I had such a lovely time in Oxford! I was so amazed by such an idée!
And the feedback I got on my pics said it all… You guys loved it too!
It was so good to be out for work.
Chickenpox
But it was all too good to be true… Baba eventually had chickenpox. When I saw the first spots coming up on Father’s Day weekend, I was so worried.
It was not great. To be fair, he was a very good boy and he was not in pain. He had no fever and very little spots. I thought it would have been worse.
But I could not leave him at the nursery and I had to keep him at home with me while trying to work. It was not easy and I felt so hard the mum guilt I ended up in tears quite a bit.
It was a tough week and I felt very bad about it all. Frustrated because I had to say no to so many projects and we were stuck at home… I get mad when I am not on the move or with a project!
But it went fast and we were back to normal within a week.
Day Outs
I even enjoyed a lovely day out in London with my girlfriend and we had some picnics in the garden.
It is officially Baba’s new obsession!
It is pretty much our new routine. We always have one on Mondays at home. Baba really enjoys cooking and preparing the food with me.
GlossyBox
Another new thing I liked this month was Glossybox! I received my first box in June and I absolutely LOVED it!
It is such a treat and it means I can make some ‘me time’ so that I keep sane 🙂
I already got the July edition, so if you are not scared of a spoiler, go and have a look at my Instagram to see it all!
ROH Family Sunday & GoBoat
Writing this all up, I must say that June had a better end! After a slow start and always feeling a bit bad, we ended it with a lovely day out in London last weekend.
I already wrote about it all in details. If you fancy doing something new in London, have a look at the Royal Opera House Family Sundays. It is so fabulous for children!
We attended the last edition on Sunday. Super excited as Grumpy Boyfriend came with us this time!
As always, we had so much fun and we ended up the day with a lovely dinner alfresco on board of a GoBoat.
Another experience you have to check out with the children this Summer! See our GoBoat London Review to see it all!
June 2019 – Time To Reflect
That’s it for our monthly recap!
June 2019 was a month where I reflected a lot on our little life. We have had some tough times and I felt quite down at the start, but so is life 🙂
It went all away and even if Baba sometimes drives me crazy, I love him to the moon and back. When I saw him walking along with his dad when we visited a local farm, I felt so happy. I love my men! Both of them, even the grumpy one…
I realised how lucky I was despite some bad moments. I started meditating and it really put everything into perspective.
July is looking good! I am busy helping Grumpy Boyfriend with one of his work projects but we will take a mini-break in Jersey later on.
Very much looking forward to this! Give me all the ice cream possible 🙂
I hope you have a fabulous Summer and you enjoy some quality time with the kids when they finish school (it is soon to happen!)
Thanks again for all your support as always!
Disclosure: This post features some sponsored content I published this month but it is merely a list of my highlights of the month! A post for me to remember what we have been up to!
I’m glad you took time to do something for yourself.

Spice girls looked fab
Spice girls sounded great! i wish i could have gone!
Chickenpox was going around at my work and i was so worried my son would get it as he is still just one, but when he didn’t get it i found myself feeling a little disappointed. while i hate the thought of him being sick i would rather he had it and got it over with than have to worry about getting it as an adult when i can be really bad and have serious complications 🙁
I’m glad you had a great time the spice girls are amazing

Oh wow I am so jealous!! I really wanted to go to the Spice girls concert.
Great pictures.
Oh gosh my daughter Heidi was off school for 2 weeks with the dreaded chicken pox, it’s nice to get them over with though.
I hope you are having a lovely summer.
Cool!
Gosh, you’ve been very, very busy! I know what you mean about admiring mums whose children do not go to nursery. How do they manage to get everything done at home? And when do they have a little couples time or me time and have sufficient reserves of energy to enjoy a visit to the hairdresser or have lunch with friends? Bravo to all mums!
Sounds like you’ve had an amazing time
Wow busy busy bee ?.. Chicken pox is good when it’s all over & done with & better to get when younger rather than shingles when your older ?
It looks like you had lots of fun!
loved the spice girls when i was young
