Bidvine review

Frenchie Mummy hates housework!

I can’t think of anything more boring than cleaning the house. I am far from being the perfect housewife. Not only I am not a super cook, but I do the minimum to keep our flat clean and tidy. I just hate it. It’s like doing a proper workout. Sérieusement, when I clean the entire flat (which is quite big! Why did we get such a massive place? It involves more cleaning…), it takes me hours.

And Baba too…

On top of taking me a long time and making me feel like I am not a princess anymore, Baba hates the hoover.

Bidvine review
Oh no! She puts that thing on again! I am going to cry!!!

I kid you not! As soon as I start hoovering, he screams for half an hour before he decides than in the end, this weird thing (the hoover, are you following l’histoire so far?) is  not that scary after all. He then follows me around the rooms while I am trying to clean the place. And sometimes, he will even come closer and slam the hoover with his hammer. Just reminding the noisy object who is the boss in the Frenchie household…

Bidvine review
I sorted out this evil thing called a ‘hoover’! My hammer was so useful…

I hate le ménage! After whinging and complaining about it for months to Grumpy Boyfriend, he decided that it was time to act and agreed to get a cleaner. Le pauvre, he had to put up with a lot of protestations. Here is a little selection for you:

  • It’s so boring to clean during my days off! Why do I have to do that?
  • When was the last time you actually did the washing up?
  • The dishwasher loves your dirty cups. Open it, put the dirty object in it and close it. Literally 30 seconds, not even.

Yeah, Grumpy Boyfriend is still not sure about how to use our dishwasher...

Hurrah! We are looking for a cleaner!

I started the search about two months ago.

But it was such a disappointment. Different companies came in the flat to assess the level of work needed. Obviously, I cleaned the place beforehand so that they didn’t think we were living like pigs (you know what it’s like when someone comes around, you make this extra effort). Très logique to clean the place before the cleaner comes in…

Even with the flat clean and tidy, all of them came up with the most ridiculous proposals. Apparently, our flat needed 6 hours of work a week. In other words, a lot of money.

A waste of time. None of the services I appointed fitted what I really wanted and in the meantime, I was still cleaning the place myself (not too much though… Don’t you worry about that!)

How Bidvine works

And then last week, I discovered Bidvine.

Le concept est simple. They ask you a few questions specific to the type of service that you need help with. This helps pros understand what you need and give a more accurate bid estimate. You then enter your email address and a company can get in touch with you to offer their service.

It literally took me less than a minute to answer the questions. And then, Bidvine sent my job request to trusted local professionals who could help with what I needed done (a lot of cleaning s’il vous plaît!) Just the perfect match between the job and the right pros.

Why I like Bidvine?

  • It’s super easy to use.
  • It offers a very good range of services. You can find a photographer, a personal trainer and so much more!
  • Your request is dealt with very quickly. I received an offer from a local cleaner within two hours!
  • You can easily compare prices when companies get in touch with you.
  • Bidvine don’t share personal information. It’s up to you!
  • It is free for both consumers and professionals to sign up.

We have a quote!

Within a few hours entering my details and what I needed, I received an email from a local cleaning company with a very good proposal. Literally the best quote I have had so far! Nothing ridiculously expensive and the person explained clearly their service.

Off to email her back now and get our collaboration started as soon as possible!

Et voilà, that’s me done for the week. A happy woman who will not have to do too much work over the next few months….

I am now free of naughty chores and can enjoy more quality time with my little one. Off course, I won’t spend this extra free time blogging instead of taking care of my cher Baba 🙂

Disclosure: This post was commissioned by Bidvine. However, all opinions are my own. In the meantime, off to clean a bit the house! Kidding!!!!

I must try this! Looks like a great idea. The quote for 6 hours of cleaning! How is that even possible? Do you live in a giant mansion?! #KCACOLS

Having a cleaner feels great indeed. It saves you a lot of time which you can spend with your loved ones instead and you are less tired!

With two dogs and a small human in the house I could use a cleaner. There are just not enough hours in the day for playing, cooking, eating, coffee AND cleaning! The app looks great #KCACOLS

Looks like a good site – helpful to get a sensible quote at least. I hate housework too and it’s hard to get anything done with a baba in the house. #kcacols

LOL Your post totally made me laugh. I like cleaning the house, most of the time, but we have a small place which makes it easy. But it’s crazy how it still goes from clean to chaos in a matter of minutes sometimes! Hope having the cleaner helps 🙂 Thanks for sharing #KCACOLS

I don’t mind cleaning the house really, but when I worked full time I did pay a local au pair that was free in the day to clean my bathrooms. It was definitely money well spent! Sounds like a good service though if you need someone reputable. #ablogginggoodtime
