Bonjour lecteurs! Spring is definitely on its way. I’ve been enjoying some sunny walks and I am ready for more adventures outdoors with the boys in the coming weeks. But for now, it’s time to reflect on the past month and share my new monthly highlights. February 2025 littéralement went on in a wink. It might be the shorter month of the year, but it was packed with so many adventures. Regardez!
An Exciting Start
The start of the month is usually a quiet one for us, especially in winter when it’s cold and rainy, But we still made it to the local park to play, We also enjoyed watching TV together. Zootropolis was so much fun. I recommend it if you have not seen it with the kids.
From a quiet weekend at home to an exciting start, February was full of happy moments. Grumpy Boyfriend treated me to a spa day at our local Champneys Spa and I certainement made the most of it. It was busy, but so relaxing to do mid-week like that.
Meanwhile, we started some new French lessons with Stanley and he is slowly making progress. It’s so cute to see him speak French.
I was also invitée to a wine degustation at Gusbourne Wines, which was lovely. I came home with a couple of bottles bien sûr! Have you ever tried anything from this Kentish vineyard?
Valentine’s Day
I worked a lot over last month, even if it was quieter than usual.
But it did not stop us from celebrating Valentine’s Day in style. Grumpy Boyfriend surprised me to a délicieux lunch to Boys Hall.
Au menu, good food, good company and good fashion! Just what I needed to be happy. I loved exploring the location’s garden in winter and it was l’excuse parfaite to take some pics with my new Saint & Sofia pieces. What do you think?
And just like that, half of February 2025 was gone. It was half-term, so time to look after the little one.
Half-Term Fun
How do you feel about half-term? I have mixed feeling each time.
On one hand, I am looking forward to spending quality time with the boys. But on the other hand, I am always a bit worried about how I will manage my workload while looking after him. February is usually the worst if it’s cold and boring. I am not a homy person…
But we had so much fun and kept well busy. We kicked off the festivities with a cool party in Canary Wharf with Teen Titans Go! It was so much fun and we loved the parkour school.
In between his swimming lessons each day and afternoons at the park, we made it ok in the end. I even managed a petite session shopping at TK Maxx and got some bits for the house. Plus, I also went to see Ghost the Musical at The Marlowe Theatre.
Our Anniversary In London
We even managed more romantic time as we celebrated our 15th anniversary in London. I booked a room at The Bailey’s Hotel in London for l’occasion. I love this hotel! I stayed there with my mum back in 2007 and I have such fond memories of Gloucester Road and its area.
We had such a beautiful time: we ate at Il Pampero at The Hari in Belgravia.
But I also saw Sailor Moon Super Live! OMG! Dream come true for my 10 years-old self! I LOVED that anime / manga back in the day and I was so excited to go and see the live show. It did not disappoint.
Once back in Kent, we stopped by Mount Ephraim Gardens to check out its new glamping pods. The perfect way to end half-term! I love being in nature and le village of Hernill is always so charmant. Not a bad half-term!
Last Week
Once all the fun was over, I got back to work. Au programme, a lot of emails and blog posts but also some shoots. I took some time to relax with a beautiful home massage and we carried on with French lessons on Thursday, plus swimming in the evening.
Days were getting longer and Spring was just around the corner. I felt lifted and happy, ready to conquer the world. I was buzzing!
I even made it to Folkestone to catch up with my friend Angy. We discussed an exciting project around brunch at Rocksalt Folkestone. I had to take her there after our beautiful stay in January…
What else do you want? The sun was out and it’s even more fabulous on the seaside!
But February ended on a note négative as my nan passed away. Even though she was old and unwell at the end, you still don’t see it coming.
What a start to March…But life is cycle and I am now just finishing some projects before I go to France tomorrow for her funerals etc.
February 2025 – Be Brave, Be Adventurous
My mind is blank right now and despite all the beautiful memories (yet again!) that I made with my loved ones, I was struggling to find a good title for February 2025.
One thing is for sure, I was extrêmement lucky with all the beautiful things I experienced. Looking back, I felt that I gave a go to all my 2025 goals and desires.
It’s beautiful and I am ever so aware that I do a job that I LOVE, in a career that gives me so much freedom and more. Yet, Life is selfish and always has a way to take it back. February 2025 was a month of so much learning, but also fun with my family.
And for that raison, I decided to name it ‘Be Brave, Be Adventurous‘. It was my motto from 2019. I even got it engraved on one my necklaces.
A great reminder that whatever you wish to the universe, it will give it to you. And that’s the way, I intend to carry on 2025. Now more than ever, I believe in the Law of Attraction and I will live by it daily. May it be the secret to a long and happy life…
I will spend the next few days in France, but I shall be back next week stronger than ever 🐦🔥.
As always, MERCI for reading and all the support people gave me following the sad news. It’s so much appreciated.
Disclosure: This post might feature some sponsored content I recently published but it is merely a list of my highlights of the month! This a post where I share some reflections as a mum in the country and in London. I hope it will inspire you to get on more family adventures.
