A Clutter-Free Space

You want to feel calm and ready to work. I don’t know about you, but there is nothing worse than a messy workspace, especially if you work from home. Very often, you don’t really have your own dedicated working space, so you have to be clever about it.

I’ve been working on the corner of our dining table for years now, and I like nothing than packing it all away every night. This way, you feel truly accomplished. Plus, the day after feels like a fresh start, whatever tasks you are up to.

If you work in an office, you can still turn your surroundings into un espace personnel with some photos, quotes to inspire you etc. Many companies will use the office cleaning Carlton service for a clean so that you can work in an organised environment first thing in the morning. A clear working space is synonym of a clear mind.

Gentle Routines To Get Going

Find the schedule that works for you. I usually love to take care of Instagram when I start the day. I respond to comments, post new content or I schedule my next posts.

I then move onto emails. I try to do it all in blocks. So par exemple, I will edit photos for different campaigns in one batch. This way, I feel more on track and I am not easily distracted.

Take some breaks. Every hour or so, I try to get up, even if it’s just to make a coffee in the kitchen. It is good to stretch your legs especially if you are in front a of a screen all day long.

Keep up with updates in your industry. I could never get bored of learning new things. Take yesterday par exemple, I was learning some new coding to enhance the new look of the blog. Whatever coaching or instrumentation training your company may offer you, grab l’opportunité to learn new skills.

It will always be a plus on your CV and you never know what the future has for you.

Include Little Moments of Happiness

We are all différent and therefore, our productivity may vary. I know that I am a morning person, so I can deal with all sorts before lunch. But after 4pm, I tend to be a bit slower.

Create a steady rhythm that works for you. After all, your mind needs to pause and relax so that you can keep performing all day long. Now more than ever, working mums have to multi-task and juggle a lot at the same time.

So find a way to manage this overload. If you can, go for a walk at lunch time to decompress. I love nothing more than getting my steps in after lunch to get recharged. It really helps me to tackle anything that comes my way.

Set Up Boundaries

If you work outside home, c’est simple to switch off work and not think about it once you are back home.

But nowadays, many of us work hybrid. That’s why c’est très important to set some boundaries between work and personal time. This will make all la différence and will really transform your over wellbeing.

Whatever you need to do to switch off, a brief walk, listening to your favourite playlist, or tidying a small corner of the living room to make it home more than office space… Those small acts can signal to the mind that the faster tempo is behind. It’s time to pause the hustle and relax in the comfort of your home.

Doing some meditation or even taking a bath after a particularly stressful can also do wonders to your mind.

Why These Tiny Shifts Matter

Les idées in this article might seem très simples, but it will make a huge difference to your day and your overall happiness. Everyone needs strong structures to support their workdays and reach a better work/ life balance.

Things like a clean desk or taking a deep breath can give you an impression of calm and order. Our brains need to switch off. We should not mix work time with something plus personnel. By setting up simple routines, you will have a better productivity and you will be happier at work, no doubt.

You need a sustainable system to get going, so implement whatever works best for you. I hope those simple habits to make workdays more productive will be helpful.
