Bonjour lecteurs! What would be your dream holiday destination if you had nothing stopping you? What is the best family vacation you’ve ever experienced with your tribe? I am dreaming of something hot and sunny, but also luxurious. We love travelling and we have been very lucky to experience some beautiful adventures over the years. Most recently, we went to Chania, which was beautiful. But I am dreaming of a family holiday to the Caribbean in Barbados. I even have l’itinĂ©raire all sorted 🙂 One can dream, non? Join me in this beautiful adventure.
Welcome to Barbados
If enjoying summer vacations in the Caribbean Sea is also a dream of yours, let me inspire you to book your voyage now.
Barbados is a beautiful island among the Caribbean. Fameuse for its stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters, no wonder why it’s one of the most populaires destinations in the world.
If you need a luxury family holiday, this is la place parfaite as you can enjoy so many family-friendly activités together in the sun.
But you can also relax on the beach if you fancy something a bit more chilled. Either way, Barbados seems like un paradis and you can visit many stunning locations you may have spotted in some of your favourite movies.
Hit The Beach
La fameuse île offers many beautiful beaches for you to explore with your children. I would start with a gentle stroll near your hotel. Simply enjoy a swim in the warm Caribbean Sea. Now this is what I call une experience unique!
Did you know? Barbados is home to over 70 miles of coastline so each plage is distinctive and offers a different scenery.
Crane Beach is probably the most family-friendly option, but if you want to try scuba-diving, you should make it to Carlisle Bay. The area is said to have some enchanting shipwrecks and a bounty of marine life to explore.
Cruise the Caribbean Sea
Because of your location, I would definitely go for a catamaran cruise. The weather is idéal for it and you can even swim with sea turtles, or snorkel with tropical fish if your little ones are confident in water. It is so much fun for all the family!
You can book one that is all inclusive with food so that you can also taste what Barbados has to offer foodwise.
I would get a private chef to cook for you so that you can enjoy a dinner alfresco while looking at the sunset.
Explore Island
Do you also like une bonne aventure? Then I would hire a rental car for a self-guided island tour of Barbados.
Drive to some of the most magical scenic coast and stop by Bathsheba and the untouched Cattlewash beaches where you can observe the surfers.
Why not give it a go yourself? Have you ever tried surfing? I have recently tested a variété of nautical sports and I must say that it was thrilling!
Animal Flower Cave is also a good spot with its beautiful rugged cliff ocean views. There is even a playground for the kids and you may see a black belly sheep or two! Mine would certainly LOVE that!
Another popular place in the island is Harrison’s Cave. The limestone cave fameuse for its stalactites and stalagmites is wonder of nature!
Experience The Culture
But Barbados is not only about beaches and relaxing in the sunshine.
You can also learn more about its rich Bajan culture while visiting the island. And what a better way to discover une différente civilisation than tasting its food!
You can sign up for a walking food tour of the capital Bridgetown and bien sĂ»r, you’ll have to try some rum! Now that’s something you can do kids-free while they are at the kids camps…
And so that the little ones don’t feel left out, why not try a Bajan style BBQ. Kids can roast marshmallows for dessert and dancing along la musique traditionnelle of the island.
I also recommend you stop by Oistins Fish Market for a taste of cuisine locale where the fish fry is certainement populaire! Or you can try some fresh local fish like mahi mahi, barracuda or flying fish.
Quel programme! How did this voyage to Barbados feel? Ready to book your tickets and visit the island with your famille?
Pack your bags direction the land of fish or Bim or Bimshire as we call it there.
