Bonjour lecteurs! Who is feeling a bit overwhelmed and stressed out with half-term? đ When was the last time you had a night away without the kids? We recently enjoyed a Country Break At Brandshatch Place Hotel & Spa. And while I shared our adventures on Instagram, many mamans out pointed out how little romantic and kids’ free time they have had this year. If you want a spot for some ‘us time’ with your other half, this place is THE ONE, but not only…
Brandshatch Place Hotel & Spa
Brandshatch Place Hotel & Spa is part of the Hand Picked Hotels, which offers a selection of luxury country hotels across the country for your to relax.
If you are in Kent, you might have stayed at Chilston Park Hotel or Buxted Park Hotel.
Brandshatch Place Hotel & Spa is basically a Georgian mansion from the 19th Century.
Fameux for being a wedding venue in the area, it also offers about 40 rooms with a luxurious décor mixed with modern amenities.
Come and unwind there with its beautiful spa at the health club. Or rest among its beautiful grounds.
It’s so well located, close to the M20 among the beautiful Kentish countryside. And you can even make it to the Brands Hatch Circuit.
Our Arrival
It took us about an hour to drive and as soon as we arrived, we fell in love with the Georgian Mansion.
The manager signed us personally and took us to our room.
We were barely up the stairs when a fellow guest stopped by to tell us how fabulous the hotel was! Great start!
Our Master Suite
Our room was made of a large main bed and an adjacent bed made up of Stanley.
La chambre was décorated with good taste for luxury country vibes.
But still light with two windows and a beautiful ensuite.
The mattress was so soft! It was like sleeping on clouds.
Our master suite was very spacious, with a large corridor as well as a spacious wardrobe.
Inside, some robe and slippers were waiting for us to enjoy at the spa.
Facilities & Atmosphere
We were quick to make it to the bar for a drink.
And as it was a crisp autumnal day, we decided to go on the back terrace.
Stanley was happy to explore the small park at the back. It was so beautiful and peaceful among the yellow trees.
And if you fancy a game, you can even make it to the court de tennis.
Personally, I was happier sipping some good wine in the lobby.
L’atmosphĂšre was parfaite. If you like some luxury country vibes on a cold day, this is your place.
The Spa & Health Club
The healthclub was also great to unwind. Kids can have fun at the pool from 4 pm until 6 pm.
Stanley certainly made the most of it.
I even stopped by the relaxation room, which was lovely!
The health club was certainly impressive with a training zone! You don’t get healthier and sportier than that! If it is your cup of tea.
Personnellement, I rather preferred the sauna and the steam room.
Dinner
After such a relaxing late afternoon, we got changed and made it to the dining room for our dinner.
Sat right next to the fireplace, the atmosphere was set for a dĂźner luxueux among the gorgeous space.
With chicken for moi and fish for Grumpy Boyfriend.
The kids’ menu was a hit too with a healthy pizza (lots of tomatoes!).
And my dessert was trĂšs indulgent but so worth it.
The ambiance was fabuleuse and our waitress was chatty and engaging with Stanley.Un succés!
Breakfast
After a lovely night’s sleep in the so comfy bed, we made it to breakfast.
And what a feast for a king! Think fresh croissants and pains au chocolat to get started.
To carry on with waffles for him and Eggs Benedict for me. It’s always my fave to order.
Lovely Grounds
After such a good start, we made it to the grounds for a light walk in the beautiful autumnal couleurs.
The space is so peaceful, yet the perfect location for your little ones to explore and let off some steam.
You can even grab a pair of wellies and go for one of the nature trails available.
The founders of Hand Picked Hotels are nature lovers who want to share their passion for beautiful English Country Houses.
Well, c’est un succĂ©s!
More Country Adventures
And we even went further as we stopped by Lullingstone Roman Villa in a village nearby.
We had already been there before Stanley. We thought it would be a lovely place for him to check out and learn about the Roman Empire!
Classic family day out if you decide to stop by the Brandshatch Place Hotel & Spa! Plus we love nothing more than visiting English Heritage sites too.
And there is also a lovely walk down all the way to the nearby castle. It was so good to get some fresh air and test our new walking shoes…
More memories were made with my tribe before the storm hit this week.
Brandshatch Place Hotel & Spa – Le Verdict
Brandshatch Place Hotel & Spa might look more like a romantic spot to spend some quality time with your loved one.
A place to unwind and forget about kids, worries, etc.
However, all the staff made it a lovely stay for us. It was very family-friendly, especially at the pool and during dinner.
So worth checking it out with little ones too. They would certainly love the grounds, exploring nature, while you can unwind at the spa.Â
Take turns with your partner. I came home rested and happy.
We loved the luxury country vibes and the little touches made for our family to be at ease from start to finish.
Grumpy and I already stayed in Hand Picked Hotels as a couple, but we had an equally lovely time as a family.
Prices for a family room at Brandshatch Place Hotel & Spa start from ÂŁ314.50.Â
