Bonjour lecteurs! Planning the perfect summer break in London? Finding the right pied-à-terre that ticks all the boxes is not an easy task. You see, I am a creature of comfort and I have many standards I won’t compromise on. The right accommodation needs to feel luxurious, but also practical and spacious. We recently tested a newly open apart hotel in town. Is it the perfect family escape in the city? Let’s find out in my new onefifty fenchurch Review.
onefifty fenchurch – Le Concept
Nested in the heart of London’s business district onefifty fenchurch is a gem like no other.

Le concept est simple, it’s a space where living meets the city. Whether you are on a solo business trip in the city or traveling with young children, this refined retreat will meet all your expectations.

The stunning building feature 33 contemporary apartments for you to relax and / work. Ring la réception to let you in and enter a world of elegance where you are made to feel comfy at all times while enjoying the buzz of London life.
L’Atmosphère
onefifty fenchurch is designed so that you can rest, work, and live at your own pace. Whatever you need, you will find comfort and style with a well-equipped apartment with all you need.

Dads will love the WIFI and the office space, while mums will appreciate the extra room and the très chic décor.
It’s élégant, yet subtle and warm. Personnellement, I loved the so British touches (bonjour Elizabeth!) and the view (pretty dreamy), while Grumpy Boyfriend loved having his own desk to work.

onefifty fenchurch feels like some gorgeous boutique hotel in town, but it’s more than that.
Apartment With City View
Our modern apartment had everything we needed to make ourself at home.

As we came in and we left our coats in the cloakroom, it felt like we had a full studio just for ourselves!

On the left a king sized bed so comfy I could dream all day in it while looking at the world goes by in the busy district of London. We were littéralement opposé Sky Garden! That view at night was just magique.

Don’t even get me started on how well-appointed the space was: kitchenette, dedicated work area, and stylish shower room…

The team even turned the living room space into a comfy bedroom for Stanley.

I fell in love with the (so beautiful!) bathroom, while the boys appreciated the curated space for them to work and play. One was answering to emails while the other was saving the galaxy. Guess who is who?

Facilities at onefifty fenchurch
Plus sérieusement though, onefifty fenchurch has it all for you to have a comfy stay in the heart of London. It might not be your conventional hotel room (actually, it’s better because it’s so much more spacious!), but it met all our needs.
Grab yourself some water or even a snack at the guest pantry on the ground floor, et voilà! For the rest, live like a Londoner.

onefifty fenchurch might be idéal for business trips thanks to its location and many facilities (check out the gym and the extra work space), but not only.
Now mums have l’excuse parfaite to turn any business trip into a weekend getaway with the little ones. Simply book an apartment, et voilà!

What To Do With Kids
L’autre plus? There is plenty to do in the area with children. Sure, you can pop in and enjoy some amazing view at Sky Garden (you need to book in advance though).

But you are only a short walk from one of the most iconic London location: The Tower of London.

As we were in there, we explored le fameux château and I must say that I was well excited.

I had not been since 2008 (I know, it shows my age!), but it was gorgeous to walk around the grounds, learn more about the historic jail and see the dazzling crown jewels bien sûr!

We also got a snap with a Beefeater, pretending to be tourists.

I also recommend you check out one Tower of London River Tour. Hope onto one of the UK first electric boats (it is so quiet and it feels so peaceful when you are on it!) and enjoy some panoramic views of London’s landmarks.

The tour is written by the co-creator of BBC’s Ghosts, Martha Howe-Douglas, and it’s full of fascinating information on London.

Head to Tower Bridge Quay before grabbing a Frenchie petit-déjeuner at the nearby Paul, et voilà!

St Katharine Docks
Further out of Fenchurch Street, you can also explore Tower Bridge, but I you must stop by St Katharine Docks.

The marina is such a gem in the heart of London. Not only it’s quieter as tourists don’t usually know that spot.

But you can walk around the pontoon and dream that you are on the French Riviera.

Stop by Fatto a Mano , grab a yummy pizza, before listening to some jazz in with a glass of champagne.

No wonder why the The Floating Jazz Club at St Katharine Docks is un événement so populaire on the marina’s floating pontoon. It’s just so relaxing! Find the next session here.

Further Out of Fenchurch
Cross the bridge to stop by SEA LIFE, The London Eye and Shrek’s Adventure London. You are spoiled for choice in the area!

If you want to taste one of the best London Afternoon teas, I could not recommend more Aqua Shard. We LOVED the Peter Pan Afternoon Tea. Be prepared to degust fine dining with amazing views across London.

But we explored further out this time. After checking out, we headed to another classic London attraction: Madame Tussauds. It brought back so many memories!

I visited the famous wax museum when I was barely 11 on my first London school trip and I forgot how huge the exhibition was!

From the Royals to Posh & Becks and Star Wars, we met them all. Even better, you get on a mini ride, going back through London’s history. It felt like being at a theme park! Now, that was awesome!

onefifty fenchurch Review – Le Verdict
I dare you to tell me you don’t want a weekend like that! Welcome to onefifty fenchurch, where luxury living meets the heartbeat of the city.
We put this brand-new, 33-bedroom aparthotel to the test, and let’s just say it was an absolute succès!

Who says Fenchurch Street is just work? Whether you’re joining him for a solo romantic getaway or bringing the little ones along for a family adventure, this place is the ultimate city-centre retreat.

Book an apartment with a stunning city view, melt into a king-sized bed, and pamper yourself in the sleek and stylish shower room, before heading into town and explore London’s history.

It’s a no brainer! Relax in a full apartment’s worth of space and top-tier amenities for the exact same price as a cramped, standard London hotel room. Grab a coffee and a croissant at the nearest Prêt A Manger and blend in like a true Londoner.
The perfect family escape exists, and it’s right here in a luxury boutique apart hotel.
