Bonjour lecteurs! If you follow us on Instagram, you may have seen that we had a mini-break in London this weekend. We were all very excited because it was the first time in town since the lockdown! And it did not disappoint! While staying at the Aparthotel Adagio London Brentford, it was a great opportunité to rediscover South-West London! Au programme, Chiswick, Kingston, Petersham and Richmond. We even went on a mini cruise! Regardez!
Aparthotels Adagio – Le concept
Le concept est simple, you can book a room with cooking facilities.
In other words, you stay in a mini studio with everything you need. Adagio has the largest network of aparthotels across Europe. So next time you come to France, have a look! They also have 2 places in London. The one we tested in Brentford, but also one in Stratford.
And with prices starting from £78, pas d’hésitation!
Aparthotel Adagio London Brentford
The brand invited us to stay at one of its aparthotels, so we booked two nights at the Aparthotel Adagio London Brentford in West London for a fun and trendy weekend on the doorsteps of Kew Gardens.
Literally located in the Key Eye Tower, the building is quite impressive with its modern look.
With parking available in the basement, no fuss to find a space! It is always so tricky in London!
And we were quick to settle in our room / mini studio for the weekend!
You see, the good thing about Aparthotels Adagio is that each room has its own kitchen. So you basically have all the comfort of a luxurious residential apartment during your stay!
As soon as we arrived, we were very pleased! Such a nice space!
Our aparthotel was made of one main bed and a sofa turned into a bed for Baba.
It was all very clean with some modern and stylish decor!
And you have it all: fridge, kitchen utensils and even an iron board! It is like you have your own little apartment!
And the top feature? The winter garden balcony!
We enjoyed a glass of wine and it was so lovely to relax! A bit like at home!
Facilities & Ambience
Even if we did not have a bath, I enjoyed the spacious bathroom.
It was like brand new and I liked the black tone!
Meanwhile, Baba enjoyed the Samsung Smart television.
It was very spacious and the bed was comfy!
The ambience is simple but modern, a bit hygge? It was simply perfect for a famcation!
And well thought! I like l’idée to have a mirror to make sure you look good on your way out!
Due to the current situation, you can not enjoy your breakfast in the common area downstairs. But you can order it to be ready first thing in the morning in the comfort of your room!
Au menu, pains au chocolat et croissants as well as céréales, porridge and coffee.
It was so lovely to have breakfast in bed or even on our private winter balcony!
Not often that we do that, so we made the most of it!
A Weekend In London
Location-wise, Aparthotel Adagio London Brentford is not within central London. But it was l’excuse parfaite for us to have fun in South-West London. If you want something closer to the city, try the other Aparthotel Adagio in Stratford!
But we really enjoyed the local area. On Saturday, we spent the day in Kingston. Shopping at the Bentall Centre for me and some rides for Baba!
We also had food on the market and later on enjoyed a cruise with GoBoat! It is such a fun experience as a family!
We also had such a great family time in Chiswick and the beautiful 70-hectare estate of Gunnersbury Park.
It worked out so well with a sunny weekend too!

We loved being able to park in the basement (no fuss to have to look for a private car park in London).
The room was super spacious and so clean too!
And with the bonus of having your own cooker, fridge and dishwasher it is ideal to stay for a couple of days or more! It is so convenient!

The staff was very friendly and here to answer any question. And you also have a grocery store directly out the front door, plus many local restaurants! We had dinner by the river on the first night and it was so nice!
Safety measures were in place too and we did not hear a peep from other guests!
