Whatever your style, très chic or more casual, every woman needs a selection of silk scarfs.
No need to invest in the fameuse Hermès scarf as they are quite pricey. Mind you, if you get lucky and find one not too expensive in a charity shop, jump on l’occasion!
I have many silk scarfs from all over the world and all eras. It’s probably my accessoire vintage préféré. It’s so versatile, I generally tie it into a ponytail for un look très chic! Or I add it to my handbag to add a touch of couleurs et voilà!
Vintage Cufflinks
Do you have any yourself? Non! Well, time to invest in some vintage cufflinks ASAP!
Unlike common beliefs, these are not reserved to business men or for occasions spéciales!
Invest in a good quality pair of cufflinks and you’ll never stop wearing them. I think they can easily elevate your style and they look très élégants with a blouse or a shirt, or even on a wool blazer. You can’t do more Frenchie than that…
Vintage Jewellery
I also love adding some vintage jewellery, especially when I wear a more modern outfits from my fav high street shops like Maje or Sandro.
I think it adds this je ne sais quoi to your clothes. For un look bohême, I wear some hoops earrings with a pair of flare jeans and a tee or a blouse.
It’s décontracté, yet you can’t go wrong. And if you want something a bit more chic and grown up, then invest in a pearl necklace.
They never get out of fashion. I have one from my nan and it has a very sentimental value. If it’s too much of a statement for you, then swap it for some delicate pearl earrings.

As I said it before, delicate silk scarves are versatile accessories that add a touch of elegance to any look.
Worn as a headscarf, they immédiatement gives you a glow and it makes such a statement.
But you can also buy some vintage headbands. I would usually go for one with 50s vibes as it gives me a gentle look. I am a sucker for large headbands à la Brigitte Bardot.
But you can also opt for an Art Deco headpiece if you fancy something more elevated of for a special occasion. C’est très féminin! Succés garanti!

There is such a large variété of vintage purses, so I would go for what is your style.
Personnellement, I would always go for a leather handbag a it will last you forever. I absolutely love my Louis Vuitton Bag in white.
I bought it over 10 years ago and I still get compliments every time I have it with me. It’s huge so very handy to carry all my stuff like my laptop or endless drinks and snacks for Stanley. En plus, j’adore its unique design.
But if you think it’s too much, go for a clutch type of bag in a natural material. It will smarten up any outfit and it will last forever.

Vintage Sunglasses
Complete any outfit with a good pair of vintage sunglasses.
Right now, everyone is going crazy for oval and rectangle shaped sunnies because the 90s are back in fashion. It doesn’t really suit me, so I stick to some oversized shades.
If I feel very daring, I would go for the full 70s look, but usually I go for a black classic number that just looks so élégant. Plus it goes with anything, I just put my sunglasses on without having to think about it and I am ready to go!
Statement Brooches
Bold and eye-catching vintage brooches are the perfect way to grab some attention.
They come in a variété of designs and shapes. Select a brooch that will have a unique story.
Go for a floral option if you want something subtle or opt for a geometric shape for a more WOW effect.
Either way, it will certainly add a touch of glamour to your outfit.
