Bonjour lecteurs! Our new series featuring our favourite villages in Kent has been so popular! I think you will like our new monthly highlights. Indeed, we have been on many adventures in our local area. So enjoy the tour of the gorgeous Garden of England! May 2020 was busy with many walks and we also had fun at home.
Local Parks
Because of the lockdown still in place last month, we have been trying to exercise as much as possible in our local area.
Baba was a lucky boy. Indeed, we regularly went au parc!
It was l’excuse parfaite to showcase his balanced bike and his new super cute Sawako helmet.
Frenchie Is Getting Sportier!
But he is not the only one turning super sporty!
I have officially become an ambassador for the gorgeous sportswear brand Fabletics. I am absolutely in love with my new leggings!
I have been pretty much exercising every single day last month, even if it was just 20 min.
I made it a priorité, because now more than ever, I am super sedentary. And I feel so good!
En plus, it was a good way for me to establish some me-time. It really pushed me to say ‘non‘ more often and share Baba’s time with Grumpy Boyfriend.
My Well-Being Too
Back in March and April 2020, prioritising my well-being was not always much on the agenda.
And the truth is I reckon many ladies probably ended up spending more time with the kids than their husband or partner.
It was really hard at times. And I must admit that all the messages about feeling grateful for such circumstances got a bit on my nerves. If you have not read my rant, have a look now. I reckon you might have felt the same 🙂
But Also Some Sweet Times…
But I have also very much enjoyed Baba’s company. I have put a new routine into place.
I basically get up super early so I get 2 or 3 hours work done before the boys wake up.
I can concentrate more on Baba and I am less frustrated in the daytime.
Not easy but we made it!
And Baba knows his alphabet! Victoire!
To Beach or Not To Beach?
I must also say merci for all your lovely comments on my social channels.
I love getting conversations started. And I really enjoyed reading your views about sending kids to school and going to the beach.
We are very lucky because we live with woods on our doorsteps and we are also very close to many beaches!
So when the weather got hot and sunny, we made the most of it. And we were back in some of our favourite places like Dymchurch and Rye.
It was splendid! We made many memories while staying safe. Indeed, we know well those places so we knew where to go 🙂
May 2020 – Our Frenchie Adventures In Kent
May 2020 has been full of fun days with my boys. More than ever, I am so happy to live in the South-East. It took me a while to feel this way.
I was missing so much London when we moved down here back in 2018.
But now that I pause and reflect on May 2020, I realise we made the right choice for our family!
And we made the most of the sunny days. Now that the weather is a bit rubbish, I want to cherish even more our days at the beach and the woods!
Hopefully, we will slowly get out of total lockdown.
Are you looking forward to the lockdown to stop? Are your kids back at school?
Disclosure: This post may feature some sponsored content I previously published on the blog. But it is merely a summary list of the month! And a post for me to reflect on our life. Merci for reading my blog as always!
Looks like lots of fun!
I will be glad when Lockdown is over so that I can spend time with my grandchildren again!
I’ve shared with a family member who moved to Kent not that long ago

Oh fabulous! thanks! Where about are they based in Kent?
A lovely selection of photos. I can’t wait for lockdown to be over so that I can see my great grandson again. Lockdown restrictions are slower here in Wales so I’ll have to be patient
