Giggling Squid is a family business. Indeed, the co-founders Pranee and Andy started the chain of colourful restaurants and turned Thai meals into something fun and sophistiqué.
The first restaurant was based in Brighton but now, there are about 50 locations in the UK.
We love the branch in Maidstone with its beautiful decor, the délicieuse food and the impeccable service.
We recently checked out the new Festive Menu and it was un succés!
Christmas Menu
The Christmas menu is full of flavours as always. Enjoy a Thai twist this winter with the Giggling Squid until the 31st of December.
To start with, Stanley had some spring rolls as it is his absolute fave. I had a cocktail très spécial called ‘The Grinch’ with Sweet Honeydew Midori Melon liqueur, vodka, and some lemon juice ?
Giggling Squid restaurants are family-friendly with some puzzles and colouring for our little ones while they wait for their food.
And this time around, we even had crackers to get into the festive mood.
I went for the Crispy Christmas Quacker made of duck while Grumpy ordered Thai Spiced Baubles (some curry spiced rice balls with a mushroom and sweet water chestnut filling).
Quel programme!
What’s your fave Thai meal? I usually like a chicken satay. The Festive Sticky Chicken was délicieux!
And so was Stanley’s food: a Thai omelette with jasmine rice. The kids’ menu is full of flavours with an excellent portion. And he even tried un nouveau désert: the roti, which is basically a Thai pancake with condensed milk.

I’ve yet to go to Giggling Squid but I always see it in Windsor when we go to Legoland. If I win this I will definitely go there next time we go to Legoland since we have Merlin passes
