Bio Sculpture Gel Manicure at the Mondrian London (with Afternoon Tea!)

Bonjour lecteurs! Looking for a perfect present for about Mother’s Day? Don’t look further! I was a lucky lady last Friday as I had a gorgeous experience in London! En effet, Frenchie Mummy was treated to a Bio Sculpture Gel Manicure at the Mondrian London (with Afternoon Tea!). And I am telling you now, I loved it! So if there is a fabulous lady you think who deserves a bit of pampering, read on and don’t forget to book her a manicure ASAP!

A Day at the London Mondrian Hotel

It’s  been cold and windy over the last few days. Basically, we had some pretty miserable weather and as we just moved into Ashford last week, I have been involved with a lot of unpacking and other boring chores (it involved cleaning and as you know well, I am not a huge fan…). So when I got invited by Bio Sculpture for a day of manicures, massages and Afternoon Tea at the 5 Star Hotel, The Mondrian in London, there was no way I was going to refuse such an offer!

The picture before!

Have you ever been to this famous Southbank Boutique Hotel? You need to check it out ASAP! Not only the rooms have a fab view onto la Tamise, but you can also indulge in some good food at the restaurant! Or have an afternoon tea!

Talking about some thé, that is how my afternoon of heaven started!

Wyld Afternoon Tea at the Mondrian

This version is simply magique! The Wyld Afternoon Tea will tickle your taste buds! Made of finger sandwiches, savoury bites and retro cakes, you will enjoy every bite of it! I particularly liked the soft taste of the Elderflower Compressed Cucumber & Burnt Herb Cream Sandwiches as well as the pastries.

Starting the experience with some delicious cakes was not bad!

I have had many Afternoon Teas but this one was really special! A nice treat for any sophistiquée lady such as Frenchie Mummy! But let’s not forget about our main topic here! I am now thinking about food and I start transgressing!

Bio Sculpture Gel Manicure

Ok, so let’s say it maintenant! I have never ever had my nails done before last week. It is one of the rare pleasures I have never succumbed as I simply like doing it myself. I actually used to have a ritual when I was a teen. Every Sunday night would be it. Frenchie Mummy would colour her nails with her mum while watching TV.

But I was intrigued to get a Bio Sculpture Gel Manicure.

Founded over 25 years ago, Bio Sculpture is the first gel manicure brand of its kind, arriving on the scene about 10 years before Shellac. Plus, this brand is vegan and promises to give you healthy, strong and lasting nails.

Bio Sculpture Gel’s range has been specially blended using natural ingredients such plant and fruit extracts. It helps your nails get stronger naturally! No nasties and it will help them grow!

I went for a classic Frenchie look with a vibrant red (I have a new black and white bag that I want to take to Disneyland Paris so it will be the parfait Frenchie look!).

How stunning is this colour?

Not only my nails look stunning with this fab lasting colour but I also had a great time. Who doesn’t like to be pampered? But my manicurist was very nice and so bubbly. I am usually not a huge fan of this kind of situation. For example, I barely go to the hairdresser. The last time I went (after not having visited a salon for more than a year!) was only because my friend dragged me there.

I am not sure why but I don’t really like it because I always feel like I need to do small talk with everyone and it gets on my nerves… Unsociable moi? Peut-être un peu!

Never mind my big hands… The manicure still looks amazing a week later!

But my Bio Sculpture Gel beautician was simply fabulous! She went through the process with me step by step and she was fun to talk to! I had a great time!

Even better when we finished the day with a complimentary massage in the Tom Dixon designed Mondrian Spa.

A rested Frenchie Mummy!

That manicure looks great, so handy that you can just do it yourself and this is definitely something a mum of two like me needs in their life.

OMG this is my favourite day out. I LOVE being pampered and I love Afternoon Tea. I am also a fan of the Mondrian – although I have not been there for a while. When it opened a few years ago it was THE place. A lot of PRs and brands flocked there and held events and press launches. It is very opulent. I also love the fact that the gel manicure is vegan – I used to have a gel manicure a lot but they began to wreck havoc on my nails. This looks like a great option.

I hate the small talk too! I recently had my therapist talk the whole way through my hour last my massage. Not relaxing in the slightest. I didn’t even talk to her, she just told me her life story!
