Burst – First Boots in Navy
To test the new Start-Rite AW18 Collection, the brand kindly sent us a pair of Navy Burst Boots. Priced at 42.99, they are also available in brown and dark grey. But I always go for blue with Baba! It goes well with his wardrobe!
As soon as they arrived, I was impressed with the style. Lightweight, those ankle boots are very pretty and well designed.
The first little detail I loved? The double riptape fastening that makes them easy to get on. For a toddler like Baba, always in a rush to get on with adventures, they are perfect to learn how to put shoes on and off. He is very independent and we got him in the good routine to take off his shoes as soon as we are home (we have a very nice beige carpet!). He can manage on his own these ones (with a bit of help sometimes).
It gives him great satisfaction to be a big boy! And as a maman, I also like that it gives him a snug fit! Sometimes, shoes are too tight and not comfy. With that little extra strap, you can adjust it to your child’s needs! C’est fabuleux!
Such a Smart Style With Some Fab Features!
But it doesn’t stop there!
Those boots are very stylish and so light! I like nothing worse than shoes that feel too heavy. There is no way we can put them on without a tantrum. And vraiment, we are trying to avoid those as much as possible!

Good design will make shoes more attractive to small children. I’m thinking dinosaurs and unicorns, but when I was a child there was a brand that had wild animal footprints on the soles so that you could identify tracks. It was a great idea but didn’t work in an urban environment .
