Bonjour lecteurs! As you may know already, we love fashion in the Frenchie house and I thought it would be nice to put together a post with 10 Kids Summer Wardrobes Must-Haves for your children to look fabulous in the coming months! I can’t wait for temperatures to warm up and get our summer wardrobe out properly. I went shopping last week and bought a few bits for Stanley. What have you bought so far? Here is my Frenchie Guide for your little ones to look super cute and smart this Summer….
Swimsuits
When it’s about stocking up for boys clothing in summertime, I always get a couple of swimsuits and shorts.
J’adore going for cool print with very summery designs like pineapples or sunglasses, but I always get some classiques too in blue.
C’est ma couleur préférée for Stanley.
Top tip, always try to select a brand that offer sun safe kids’ swimwear so that they keep protected at all times. I still apply some sunscreen on him too bien sûr. We are never too safe!
Denim Shorts
Another staple from Stanley’s summer wardrobe is a good pair of denim shorts.
They are so convenient and comfy for our little ones to explore, whether are at the beach or chilling at home.
Je préfère a darker shade, but any will do as they are easy to wear. Just add a cute tee et voilà!
Sliders & Sandals
As for shoes, are you more team sliders or team sandals? I would go for the latest options as they give children a better fit.
Stanley is an active boy who loves to explore and run about, or he is always on his scooters. So I make sure his footwear gives him the right support.
Pas d’accident this way! And I might even get him a pair of canvas shoes for a more dressy style.
Pattern T-Shirts
I could not share my 10 Kids Summer Wardrobes Must-Haves without mentioning pattern t-shirts.
They keep them comfy in the hot weather and the right print can simply add such cool vibes to their style.
I don’t think we go without a striped top every summer. It’s just so elegant and Stanley looks smart.
Dungarees
Fancy more cuteness and a bit of a vintage vibe? Then dungarees are your way to go.
This classic from the 80s never get old! We like ours in a light denim fabric.
But nowadays, there are so many cute styles with all the details to love: from funky buttons to sassy cuts, your choice!
Light Polos & Jumpers
It might be warmer in the summer, but we know how unpredictable the weather can be. Take April par exemple, it’s been so cold!
So I always invest in some light polos and jumpers too. Either way, they will probably end up wearing them in the evenings if you have a BBQ or an evening out and the temperature cool down a bit. En plus, they can still wear them in the mid-season before going back to school.
Hats & Caps
To complete his look, Stanley wears a cool hat or a funky cap!
Not only it protects him from the sun, but he always looks ever so trendy.
It gives him an edge. If we are going for un look élégant, we get a Panama style hat. And for a sportier look, we go for a colourful cap. We have had them all over the years: Sonic, Paw Patrol and so many more…
Sunglasses
Don’t forget to get them some sunglasses too.
Did you know? A child’s eye lens allows 70% more UV rays to penetrate the surface than an adult eye lens, so unprotected sun exposure could possibly lead to irreversible damage over the course of adolescence.
As soon as the sun is out, we wear ours at all time!
PJs
And last but not least, it’s also good to invest in a couple of short pjs.
To keep cool this summer, we went for a set of nightwear in 100% cotton for the comfiest night sleeps ever after a long day at the beach or at the pool.
Et voilà our 10 Kids Summer Wardrobes Must-Haves. What would you add to our Frenchie Guide?
