April 2021 – Catching Up With Loved Ones…

Bonjour lecteurs! Time to reflect on the last few weeks. As you know, I love doing a little monthly highlights post. April 2021 was filled in with some adventures in Kent. And now that things started to reopen and we were allowed to meet up with others outdoors, we made the most of it. Time to catch up with loved ones!

Easter Weekend

I know it might sounds miles away now, but I can not start this post without mentioning the Easter weekend! I actually took a proper break.

We spent Easter Friday at Leeds Castle to start the weekend en beauté. It was cold, but we still loved the scenery! See my Leeds Castle post for plus de détails.

What did you actually do on Easter Sunday? We headed to the woods where Baba found some chocolates from the local bunny?.

We also went to Tonbridge the first week back. While Baba had fun at Barracudas Camps (I really recommend it! He had a blast!), we managed to get a romantic stroll in a local nature reserve.

We also stopped by the town center. So much exercise despite the cold!

Slow Days…

April 2021 started really well: with lots of local family days out. It is when I am truly in my element!

And as I spend more and more time either on my bike or walking each morning, I discovered even more beautiful places in our local area. So I always get back with the boys for some time in nature!

We also had some alfresco food in the garden! My little chef helped me cooking a lot during the Easter holiday.

Rather proud to have made his own pizza! And one for Papa too!

Back To The Pub!

Did you head over to your local pub when they officially reopened on the 12th of April?

We were so looking forward to it! Well, I was as it involved no cooking or cleaning up afterward! I am sure any maman out there would be with me on this one ?

A bit fearful, we drove to a beautiful pub by the river for the occasion. It looked like it was going to rain and we were very close to cancel!

But we did it! And it was so beautiful by the river! Exciting times!

Family Picnic

The same week, we were even more excited to meet up with our cousins in the country for a picnic on the green. It was so picturesque! It was like being on a set of Midsomer Murders!

Isn’t it the most beautiful place?! Sometimes, simple things are the best!

And I even got to walk a dog!! It’s our cousin’ and Jarvis was rather happy to have a new lady entertaining him, haha!

I so want to have a dog one day! I will buy a Barbour jacket and some Hunter wellies, we will go for long walks in the Kentish country!

Elham Valley Tour

And to finir le weekend, we had a lovely walk around the Elham Valley. Situated in the North Downs in East Kent, it is such a beautiful adventure!

Baba loved the local play area, we talked to some local sheepies and I dreamed of a country cottage surrounded by flowers.

We ended the day with another pub lunch at the beautiful Five Bells in Brabourne. I really recommend it if you are in the area.

The food was délicieuse (as always!) and they have a beautiful outdoor space for you to have a fab time with your family.

Back To Business!

As soon as Baba was back to school after a lovely Easter break, it was back to routines!

Getting up early, going strong with my 66 Days Challenge (see my March 2021 post if you fancy starting one!).

And I also stopped by my favourite shopping experience! Et oui, direction the Ashford Designer Outlet Shopping Centre!

It was such a beautiful day I even walked back home with all my bags. Some extra sport will not hurt! ?

It was so good to be back after 6 months without shopping!!!! And I can not wait to show you all the lovely pieces I got from Mint Velvet, Sandro Paris, Michael Kors, Ted Baker, French Connection, and more!

You would have probably seen some things on my Instagram already, but I will share more ASAP! Weather permitted as it is currently too cold…

And Some Press Features

In April 2021, I also enjoyed some lovely features in different outlets. It was totally amazing to see my face in the Daily Mail!

I know it might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but being featured in a national newspaper was really good.

Especially when I love Correxiko Marine Collagen. I really recommend it! You can even use my code TFM20 for 20% off your order on Correxiko’s website.

It is a game-changer!

And I also talked with Heather on the EDX Education podcast. Check it out if you fancy. It was such a fun experience. Another one of my fave podcasts to learn more about education and how I can support Baba with his learning journey! You should check it out.

April 2021 – Catching Up With Loved Ones

Et voilà! April 2021 was a beautiful month made of many adventures in Kent. It ended with many walks among bluebells. As you do!

Not sure what May will have for us, but it’s half-term (again!) at the end of the month.

So I am hoping we can get away somewhere nice in the UK. A little break would be lovely!

In the meantime, I will carry on my mindful journey with more time in nature, probably more bluebell photos (be ready for it on my Instagram!), and more trees cuddles ?

Also hoping to go to London. I have not been in over 6 months!!

Do you have any plans for the coming months? Have you been out more?

Gone back to the shops? Metting up with family and friends you have not seen for too long?

Hoping the rest of the spring and summer will be joyful and sunny!
