Silk’n Lipo To The Test – Weeks 1 & 2

Bonjour lecteurs! The Summer is soon to come and like many mamans around the world, I am getting a bit self-conscious about my body 🙁 I am usually confident but there are always those little doubts deep down… And the idea to go to the seaside and parade my body in a bikini is not making me smile. So we got the cross-trainer out and I decided to get myself into shape. As soon as my new moi was on the way, I was asked if I wanted to try the Silk’n Lipo. Pas d’hésitation here! I said ‘Oui‘ straight away. After all, every little helps, right? So we are taking the Silk’n Lipo To The Test and each fortnight, I will keep you updated on our progress with it. Here are our thoughts on the first weeks!

Silk’n Lipo – C’est quoi?

The Silk’n Lipo is the first device with LLLT (Low-Level Laser Therapy) and EMS (Electric Muscle Stimulation) technologies that you can use at home. This fat reduction device use proven technologies that were only available in skin clinics in the past. But now you can now use it from the comfort of your maison!

SO curious to try it!

Another thing I like? It is so facile to set up within minutes! Charged, connect the different parts, turn the treatment units on and you are ready to go! Put on the belt tight and c’est parti!

Plus, you can increase the level of your needs and you can literally do whatever you want while using it as it is cordless.

Silk’n Lipo – Easy to get started

When I received the magic box, I was very eager to try it ASAP.

La Frenchie Maman was quick to put it to the test

I charged the devices straight away and we got started. I also like the idea that it is so compact so that you can pack it when you go away.

Silk’n Lipo To The Test – First thoughts

To be honest, I have always been a bit wary of this type of devices. But the first time I used was quite a surprise.

If you decide to try it, read carefully the instructions before doing anything. There are some contraindications. Plus it is quick and easy to read.

And it is easy to charge up too!

Silly comment to say would you think? Well, I don’t know about you but I hate electronic devices that have a manual of 500 pages. I never ever read them!

Plus it is explained very clearly how to set it up so you might as well have a go! If it is not done properly, the treatment unit will not start.

So I put it on on my tummy while cooking dinner.

The fact that I could carry on with my daily life was pretty cool. I don’t really like having to sit around for something like this to work.

Struggling to keep my serious while Grumpy Boyfriend took this snap!

And quite frankly, I felt the electric stimulations as soon as I started it.

So first good impressions!

Silk’n Lipo – What I like

After such a success the first time around, I decided to test it further on my arms. Again, I was quick to feel a sensation.

But there is some serious work going on here! Both with the laptop and on my arm!

So far, I am very happy with it. As it is only been less than two weeks, it is hard to see results yet. But I am hoping that within our 8 weeks trial, I would achieve something.

And I can use it while working at my desk! It’s so convenient!

Here are all the things I love about it:

  • It’s easy to set up and use
  • The units automatically stop after 15 minutes of use  so that you don’t have to think about it
  • You can carry on what you would normally do
  • Everybody can use it in the family (except Baba bien sûr!)
  • You do actually feel something so this is not a scam

Grumpy Boyfriend had a go too

So far, I have only done a trial on my tummy and my arms but I want to improve more than that!

I am really happy with Silk’n Lipo since we started using it.

I will upload more updates in the next weeks. So that we can see the progress made over time, I will share with you my (so secret!) measurements!!

At this date, here are the numbers:

Left Arm: 34 cm

Left Thigh: 61 cm

Let see in a fortnight how we get on with it. For now, I am off playing with Baba while wearing it of course!

Thanks for reading our new series Silk’n Lipo To The Test. See you soon for more updates on my magic transformation!

This sounds fab! I am totally with you on the scepticism and a long technical manual. I really like that it doesn’t impact on day to day activities. Looking forward to seeing how your progress goes and if it lives up to its claims.

I’ve been following you with this one as I’m trying to lose some body fat. Dieting leaves some saggy skin even though exercise helps. Looks like its working for you. Can’t wait to see your end results.
