Honeywood Lodge
The lovely brand invited us to stay at Honeywood Lodge in Canterbury to test its services and we had such a lovely time!
Honeywood Lodge is a beautiful villa with 3 bedrooms and some great outdoor space.
Mais plus! You can get to fully relax thanks to an indoor heated pool complex.
And for the children? A game room! Nothing less!
Situated on a nice large piece of land on the outskirts of Canterbury, the lodge is so charming and spacious. You can easily book it for two families for some extra fun!
As soon as we arrived, we were amazed by the capacity and the neutral decor. I must say that, to my pleasure, the house has some European vibes too.
Our Stay at Honeywood Lodge
As soon as you come in, you are greeted by the game room.
With a bedroom and a bathroom on the first floor.
Go upstairs to find out the dining and living areas as well as a kitchenette.
Add two bedrooms and a bathroom in what looks like a loft and you are in for some beautiful views on the large landscaped garden with and a playing field with goals.
You can also enjoy some food outdoors on the paved patio area or on the balcony.
I loved waking up to the sound of birds in the tree! The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfy. We had a lovely sleep.
To then enjoy an early breakfast with some cartoons, making the most of the light.
We got up early, 6.30 am! A never heard for Stanley and Grumpy Boyfriend ?
Well, he was excited to go back into the swimming pool! ?
La Piscine at Honeywood Lodge
Indeed, Honeywood has the great avantage to have a lovely indoor pool!
Can you imagine le plaisir to splash about on your own? The piscine privée was definitely our fave.
So much we spent pretty much the rest of the afternoon in it. To say that Stanley was excited was an understatement… We even brought our inflatable Sharkie to make the most of it.
From a maman‘s perspective, I LOVED it too. The pool was not too deep so that I could be in control in the water (swimming is not my forte ?). I could touch the bottom and with the stairs leading nicely into the water, it was very safe for Stanley to have fun.
Plus, you have wings and all sorts of accessories for kids to have fun safely.
Top mark too for the bi-fold opening doors that open onto a beautifully decked veranda. You can enjoy some gorgeous views, yet it is very private. I got to enjoy it with un peu de prosecco.
Canterbury North
As we love a bit of adventure, we headed out for a stroll to Canterbury North. I don’t know much about that part of the town, so it was nice to explore.
We drove down Tyler Hill, which is a very pretty village. Think typical British houses, a lot of green. The dream, right?!
We went a bit further and had fun at a local playground in Canterbury North.
It was so relaxing on a beautiful sunny evening! We definitely need to come back to the area for a walk with the boys!
Bloom Stays – Le Verdict
We had a gorgeous time at Honeywood Lodge. Bloom Stays really spoiled us!
The place was amazing. It would make a great option if you wanted to book the villa maybe with another family? You have a capacity for 6 people, so I would definitely make it a big one!
We had plenty of space and the garden was very pretty too.
En plus, you have all the amenities you need with a good WIFI signal.
You can also park your car on the private drive, so it’s safe.
If you want to visit Canterbury, Honeywood Lodge makes a great option and the pool is definitely a winner!
I must also mention that I was very impressed with Bloom Stays. Nicky personally messaged me to check we were all settled and if we needed anything. Great customer service!
