The fameux chef teamed up with Hotpoint and will make us think differently about the ‘forgotten food’ we have in our fridge.

Did You Know?

And let me share with you some shocking figures! Did you know that roughly a third (1.6 billion tonnes) of the food produced globally is wasted every year? Hotpoint did a survey and it seemed that 65% of Brits worry about wasting food! I do! And at the same time, I feel guilty because I want to save up money!

And here are the UK’s 10 most-wasted foods:

  1. Bread
  2. Bagged salad
  3. Fresh vegetables
  4. Cooked leftovers
  5. Fresh fruit
  6. Milk
  7. Eggs
  8. Cheese
  9. Meat
  10. Fish

Does this ring a bell? Well, you need to have a closer look at the Fresh Thinking Café then!

This is such a brilliant idea, as in all honesty, we are guilty of throwing away far too much waste food. It would be great to gain inspiration, but what I most love is the fact that the money goes to charity.
