Bonjour lecteurs! We have already done a quarter of the year! March 2021 was all about being a happy family and connecting with nature again! We have had some beautiful days so our new monthly highlights will be full of sun! A shame we don’t have any for the Easter weekend in Kent! But I hope you still have a good time!
Back To School!
When I reflected on last month, the least I can say is that March 2021 has been quite a busy one for sure!
I got a lot of projects and if you have not entered our Mother’s Day Giveaways , it is not too late yet! Some are just finishing this week! So regardez. And enjoy our Easter competitions too!!
There is something for everyone. you can even win this set of scooters worth £300!
Bien sûr, the 8th of March was a big day for us! Like many other parents, it was with excitement (and a bit of apprehension!) that I saw Baba going back to school again after 6 weeks of homeschooling! Such a fab way to celebrate IWD!
And to my relief, settling back into routines went really well! Baba was so happy to be back, see his friends and teachers! He has changed so much since then!
I think he is more mature and he has learned so much! I am so happy that all the time we spent homeschooling worked out well!
Back To My Community
With him back at school, it gave me a lot more time for me and work in the daytime.
So I became a more active participant in the Step Up Club. I have been a member of this fab community for over a year and a half now and I am loving it. Whatever you need help with your career, Alice and the entire community at the Step Up Club are made for you!
It was lovely to be part of huddle sessions and make more regular use of the resources that the club offers. I did not do much at the start of the year as Baba and homeschooling were my priorités…
Inspired & Inspiring
It was also time to spend more time on self-development! So I got back into listening to more podcasts. My favs at the minute?
Your Dream Life with Kristina Karlsson. The founder of Kikki K is such an inspiration! I love the way she seems to manage her life. Her podcast is always full of very inspiring guests.
I love the feeling of getting better and see how I can improve my skills. Plus, she is the champion at motivating you to dream big! I also treated myself to some of her stationery to motivate myself. There is nothing more effective than getting things on paper to work on it!
I’m also loving Happy Place with Fearne Cotton! Be prepared to learn some life lessons! Big time! I particularly loved the episode with Gelong Thubten. I discovered more about neuroplasticity and I am trying to practise it every day. The podcast is such a game-changer if you want to be more mindful!
Inspired? It is only the start! I also have put together 8 Must-Read Books For Women To Feel Inspired & Empowered.
So if you fancy some new readings, I hope those suggestions will be inspiring.
Reconnecting With Nature
Thanks to all my last podcasts and readings, I have been more than ever eager to reconnect with nature. I am going for a daily walk or bike ride and I am trying my best to use and develop my 5 senses in the process!
Slowing down and just enjoying the smell, the sounds etc… It is so powerful! And it is so refreshing you come back home stronger and ready to rock for the day!
I am not sure I will be ready to ever join the 5 am club… I considered it for a while, but Grumpy would not be much impressed! He already hates it when my alarm rings every day at 6 am ?
But j’adore the peace in the early mornings, seeing the sunrise, journaling and meditating before the boys are up!
Are you a morning person?
66 Days Challenge
I have also started a 66 Days Challenge thanks to Kristina Karlsson. It is such a idée fabuleuse! Le concept est simple: you choose a couple of simple things you can do daily.
Recent research showed 66 days in a row turn a new habit into a proper routine! Among others, I want to read some self-help book and give a compliment a day, but also be out and get some fresh air EVERY SINGLE DAY.
So be it be on my bike or even with the boys!
Beautiful Countryside!
And with the fab weather we have had in March 2021, we certainly made the most of the beautiful country!
I am really excited to announce that I will post more ‘Villages in Kent‘ content both on the blog and on Instagram. So that I can share with you some cool ideas of days out in Kent!
Expect aussi some ‘Kent Ramblings‘ soon on the blog where I will share some Kentish beauties and other inspiring ideas or quotes to help you and get you motivated!
Mother’s Day & Spring!
And that’s exactly what we did on Mother’s Day! We went for a long walk with the boys!
And then, we came home and we had some Ladurée cake and maccarons. Délicieux!
Then, Spring arrived and we spent all day out with Baba! Direction the magic woods first! Some local woods we decided to call so because we think some fairies live there!
The magnolias were in flowers for a beautiful sunny day!
Scooting
The rest of the month involved a lot of scooting around and enjoying warmer days at the park after school!
We also had fun with bubbles and discovered some more isolated places!
We often encountered sheep and some beautiful country scenery! We came back home with many memories in our pockets!
It was time to get ready for Easter with some baking and crafts. Et voilà! March 2021 ended beautifully!
March 2021 – Happy Familly
March 2021 was really a month where I felt more than ever that we were a very happy family.
We did so much together, the three of us! And I can not wait to carry on over the next two weeks with the Easter holidays!
We had fun for Red Nose Day, but we also drew and coloured a lot.
And we took part in many projects with my work. It was a busy one but I felt extremely happy because we had so many sunny weekends!
And I had a very good work-life balance! Finding such harmony always makes me feel so good!
I hope you got a good balance too when the children got back to school and you took the time to do something for yourself?
Did you start a new project when the kids went back to school? Or did you restart something you had stopped while homeschooling?
What did you do during the sunny days?
Wishing you the best Easter Weekend possible! I hope it will involve a lot of chocolate and wine too!
Disclosure: This post might feature some sponsored content I recently published but it is merely a list of my highlights of the month! A post where I share some reflections as a mum in the country. I hope it will help you to reflect too and empower your decisions even more!
It is so important to get outdoors and get some fresh air every day. I’m lucky as I live right next to a large park, where I do for a daily 2 1/2 mile walk. It really sets me up for the day.
I am very much NOT a ‘morning person’ like yourself! I am a night owl, well until 10pm anyway, well in fact I am not a early bird, nor a night owl, more like an exhausted pigeon really! LOL! Lovely to hear of your adventures and connecting with nature. I also do mindfulness it is brilliant at helping me with pain management, stress and anxiety.
Whale of a time – jam packed full of beauty and adventure
Happy Easter! Chocolate and wine would make a perfect Easter for me. Love to get out for a woodland walk with the family. Sadly cannot do that this year, so will look forward to when we can.

We used to live in Kent also and really enjoyed so many days out in the sunshine. Now we are across England in Gloucestershire and again blessed with an equally beautiful county to explore with the children in this glorious spring weather!
