Behind The Name
But you may wonder what Toddlekind actually means, non? Well, here is the answer. Because the mum Samantha’s family is half British, half German, she decided to name the shop based on her life. And I think it is also a nice touch for linguists like moi!
Don’t worry if you are not too much into languages 🙂 I can explain.
So ‘toddlekind’ contains the word ‘toddler’ in English as well as ‘kind’, which means ‘child’ in German.
It makes sense when you think that the products are aimed at children 🙂
Nordic & Persian Collections
The label has two ranges of playmats. The Persian Collection as the founder is half Persian. It is more of a shabby chic style with paler colours.
Whereas the Nordic Collection is more influenced by the Scandinavian style with more intense colours and very modern lines in the designs.
If you are a lucky winner, you will be able to choose the playmat of your choice. But whatever you go for, know that you are in for a lovely delivery.
Indeed, designed in Germany, each playmat measures 120 x 180cm so it makes a great space for several children to play.
Made of 6 tiles and some edging bonding to get it all together, you can assemble it as you wish.
The other plus? It means many looks with only one mat! How clever and versatile!

- and you can also store it easily if you don’t use it
Baba plays on it; I use it to exercise too if I do a workout on Youtube at home. But we also used it in the garden for picnics and playdates this summer. And I would sometimes take one tile to put the potty on it. In case of an accident, I would not have any trace on my beige carpet and it was so easy to clean!
