A Greek Escape At Stella Palace Resort & Spa

Bonjour lecteurs! After sharing with you our experience with Jet2holidays, here is my post about Stella Palace Resort & Spa as promised. We selected this hotel in our holiday package and I can honestly say it was one of the most beautiful places I have stayed! Ready to depart?

Stella Palace Resort & Spa

Stella Palace Resort & Spa is a 5* resort and spa on the northside of Crete, right next to Analipsis.

With its 2 large lagoon pools and its brand new waterpark, c’est la destination parfaite for families who want some sun and discover another culture.

The hotel has aussi 4 restaurants and 5 bars where you can enjoy your fave meals as well as some Cretan food.

The premises are absolutely stunning. Idéal to recharge and relax!

Our Family Room

After travelling with Jet2holidays, we arrived late at night. The receptionist welcomed us and we checked in via the hotel app for extra safety.

It is such une bonne idée because you can easily find all the info you need on the resort as well as book a table etc.

We got a family room with a pool view, which was very spacious.

Made of 3 beds and a good-sized bathroom, it had everything we needed. A lot of storage for my wardrobe (I don’t travel light!), a good supply of water in the fridge as well as toiletries for everyone in the salle de bains!

Baba was quick to get himself settled and we finished the night with a cocktail as we were right next to a bar.

Swimming Pools

Officially made of 2 large pools, there are actually more as you are right next to Stella Village.

The place is absolutely stunning. No need to use a filter on the photos!

With Stella Palace Resort & Spa, you get what you see online and it is truly breathtaking.

And it is super family-friendly!

Ask Baba! He would have been in the pool all day long if I did not stop him!

Very spacious, it can host over 1000 people. Apparently, the hotel was at 80% of its capacity when we stayed.

It was quite busy but we always managed to get sunbeds. That being said, many people actually reserved them super early in the morning.

So be prepared to do the same! Personally, I find it rude but everyone does it?‍♂️

The staff is also very efficient and happy to chat if you have any question. J’adore when you are really taken care of!

Other Facilities

But the resort is more than some beautiful swimming-pools!

Indeed, you can now visit its brand new own Stella Waterpark! So no need to book one nearby! And it is quite big for a hotel! With a snack bar too s’il-vous-plaît!

And bien sûr, you can go to the gym but you have to pay an extra 5 euros to use it.

So instead, I got a Cretan massage at the spa to relax one morning and the indoor pool was so serene!

So Family Friendly!

But more importantly, Stella Palace Resort & Spa is fabuleux for families!

Baba had a blast swimming, but he also had a fab time at the Kids Club! The team was so sweet and we all had a great time.

Each night would give us some entertainment: magic show, comedy night and even a movie on the screen!

The perfect luxury family holiday.

The place was full of happy kids and happy parents drinking a cocktail!

Restaurants & Food

As part of our Jet2holidays package, we went for the all-inclusive option.

And yet again, it did not disappoint! The Poseidon buffet restaurant was really good with so many options on the menu.

And what I particularly liked is that you could actually taste some proper local food!

Indeed, the hotel makes a real effort to offer a very large selection of Cretan food so that we could have a real experience of the island!

We also got to enjoy some Asiatic food at the beautiful Enso and some Italian food at La Veranda!

The view there was worth a visit!

But I must say that my fave night was our dinner at the Elia Restaurant. You get to discover a Cretan dinner on the terrace right by the pool!

And we got to enjoy the night show with our last cocktail!

What to Do

Stella Palace Resort & Spa is also well situated as you can enjoy some sun on the beautiful Analispis beach.

Only half an hour from Heraklion, you can also visit some places célèbres such as the Palace of Knossos. And if you fancy some adventures, you can have a look at the nearby villages!

Stella Palace Resort & Spa – Le Verdict

Stella Palace Resort & Spa is truly a unique five-star hotel with its architectural design.

The place is truly stunning! Both the ambience and service were excellent!

The WIFI was a bit slow at times so if you need to work, maybe not the right place for you. But I did not mind as I wanted to switch off!

We truly had a lovely time and we all disconnected into this paradise for a week!

Some would argue on TripAdvisor that it is not a luxury hotel as so.

Well, let’s be clear, if you are looking for a romantic Meditarenaean escapade, the place might not be for you. You might want to check out Stella Island instead (No kids there!)

But oui! It is a luxury hotel, aimed at families!

The food was yummy and varied. And top mark for offering so many local specialities, unlike other resorts we have been before!

The staff was always ready to help.

This is what I call a successful family holiday!

I would definitely consider coming back Baba free this time to see Stella Island? It looks absolutely gorgeous!
