Find a Reliable Handyman

Nothing adds stress like a list of unfinished jobs around the house. There is always something to be done in our home and I am not necessarily the best at DIY… A leaky tap, a flickering light, or a broken shelf might seem like small issues. But personnellement, I would be worried about making it worse more than anything else…

Instead of letting these tasks drain your energy, hire someone to take care of them. Par exemple, The Handy Squad handymen in London can tackle everything from plumbing and electrics to general handyman work, saving you valuable time and hassle. Outsourcing these tasks will free up your schedule. En plus, it gives you peace of mind knowing that your home is in good hands.

Keep Your Room Tidy for a Clearer Mind

Your home reflects your state of mind.

I don’t know about you, but if my desk is messy and cluttered, I feel overwhelmed and bit stressée already. And it does the same if my bedroom is not tidy.

Take a few minutes each day to make your bed, clear away the laundry, and organise your space. It can have a massive impact on how you feel. A tidy, calm environment helps you switch off at the end of the day, especially if you work from home.

Start Small – One Task at a Time

A never-ending to-do list can feel paralysing, making it hard to know where to begin.

The trick? Start small. Ticking off a few easy tasks first. So why not commence unloading the dishwasher, or folding the laundry?

It might feel like small tasks, but it can give you a sense of accomplishment and build momentum for bigger jobs. Personnellement, I like nothing more than changing the bed sheets every Sunday and folding away the laundry. It’s such a nice feeling to start the week in a fresh bed… Plus, once you get going, everything feels that little bit more manageable.

Take Breaks From Screens

In un monde moderne, we are constantly glued to screens. Phone, laptop, or TVs: what is your  average screen time? I found this calculator online and it’s quite scary!

Many recherches showed that too much screen time can increase stress and leave you feeling mentally drained.

I work from home and I pretty much spend all day in front of my screen. But it’s also une bonne idée to step away from it. Par exemple, I love staring the day with a walk in the country and in the evenings, I always put my phone on air plane mode and read. A little digital detox each day can work wonders for your mood and mental clarity.

Make Time for Yourself

Easily said, but not so easily done for a parent!

Between work, family, and home responsibilities, it’s easy to forget about yourself. But self-care isn’t selfish! C’est essentiel.

Whether it’s a long bath, a catch-up with friends, or just an hour to relax with your favourite film, making time for yourself helps keep stress levels in check. I also love meditating with Smiling Mind. Add it to your diary to make sure you take some time to yourself.

Or practise your fav sport, whatever it is! I like cycling but I know that people like doing energetic sports such as padel or even go for a jog.

A happier you means a happier family and home.
