Bonjour lecteurs!
I must start saying a massive merci to all the bloggers who completed the Daddy Tag Challenge this week. It is becoming so popular that I actually decided to publish a guest post every week from now on! Hurrah!!! ? I am so happy! But it would not have been a reality without you, guys! So thank you to all the papas who did it. A lot of people who joined the crew this fortnight know what the blog love means!
It was really difficult to choose one post as many were either emotional or super funny. This week, I selected the Daddy Tag by Mark at 2 Travelling Tots. It made me giggle a couple of times and I loved the way Mummy commented on his answers! Enjoy!
We…well Daddy anyway…were recently nominated by the lovely Geraldine at Over Heaven’s Hill to take part in the Daddy Tag Challenge, very cleverly dreamt up by the equally lovely Cécile aka The Frenchie Mummy.
Here are his answers…I may, or may not, have stuck my oar in here and there…
Are you a Stay at Home Daddy or a Working Daddy?
I’m very fortunate in that I get to do both. I’m a stay at home Daddy who works at home.
Mummy says…just to decode that one for you, we currently manage a B&B in North Yorkshire so we work and look after the boys at the same time…hectic at best!
Would you have it any other way?
No this is ideal!
Do you co-change dirty nappies? Even the very smelly ones?
Of course, I do! I changed the first ever nappy for both of ‘the boys’. And as you know, it is not pretty!
Mummy says…To right! I am not a nice wife who lets him get away with these things…plus he has no sense of smell and therefore no excuse haha!
A little fairy gives you the possibility of breastfeeding? Are you going for it or do you run away?
Run away, far away – I saw the grimace on Laura’s face when she did it.
Mummy says – it hurt…a lot…but we stuck it out.
What is the one must-have item for a daddy?
A cupholder that attaches to the pram for my coffee…I need coffee.
Mummy – rolls eyes…
How many kids do you plan on having?
Just 2, well and then adopt 1.
Mummy says…We’ll see, we’re still undecided as to whether to have another of our own first or adopt.
Lads’ nights? How often do you have them?
It depends, on what you class as a lad’s night? As far as going out drinking with friend’s, usually just special occasions like Christmas!
Mummy says – he plays football every Monday night, I count this!
Your children’s favourite achievement?
The first time the ‘big one’ saw his little brother was awesome, he was so good! The ‘little one’ so far, the first time he crawled, he looked so happy!
What is your best memory with your kid(s)?
The 3 of us watching our first football game together.
Mummy – eye rolls…again…
Name one thing you miss since being a daddy?
Sleep. Easy.
Weight gain, before pregnancy, during, after and now? And we mean YOU DADDY, not the mummy!
Erm, nope.
Mummy says – grrrr!
Dream holiday with your kids?
We’ve already been on it, a month in the Caribbean at the beginning of this year. You can’t really beat that, we’re going to try to…
Dream holiday without your kids or even without the other half? (You’re allowed to dream)
Vegas with the ‘lads’.
Mummy – rolls eyes….spends a lot of time rolling eyes!
How has your life changed since having kids?
The best answer I can give you is, I can’t remember my life without kids!
Finish the sentence “It makes my heart melt when…”
I see ‘the boys’ laugh.
Mummy says – Naaaawwww xxx
Favourite beers brands and football team?
Budweiser to drink, if you mean brands as in clothes…All Saints, Levi, Superdry….I’m an Apple Geek and Liverpoooooool!
Mummy says – he actually said it like that, I am officially a football widow for 90% of the year. I don’t get it!
Huggies or Pampers?
Huggies. I mean Pampers.
Mummy says – we never use Huggies!
Have you always wanted kids?
Yes!
Best part of being a dad?
Prime parking at the supermarket! Only joking… Just everything, looking after them, seeing them grow from a baby to a boy to a man. Just everything that comes with it.
There you go folks, the innermost workings of a Daddy’s mind…
