Bonjour lecteurs! January is now long gone and we have well started February. Not much snow for us down in Kent but what a month it has been! I decided to start it celebrating my successes rather than feeling guilty and imposing myself some unrealistic targets and I feel so much more positive! The first month of the year is usually a bit boring and gloom but 2019 started with a bang! We had a fab night at the National Television Awards, I discovered Matcha Tea, Baba turned 3… And the list goes on! It was a busy month! But here are a few highlights so that I can come back to them anytime I want! Viva January 2019! Here are all my monthly highlights!
Family Sunday Lunch at the Old Mill
The first stop I want to cherish for a long time is a delicious meal we had at one of our local pubs. The Old Mill is a cosy country pub near the river where we had a lovely meal, just the three of us. Giggles, relaxation and some good food were on the menu.
For once in my life, I was not on Instagram or thinking about work and it was nice for a change!
I want to do that more often this year and just enjoy the moment with ma famille 🙂
Look at those happy faces!
Barre Class
To start the year fit and healthy, I also attended my first ever barre class thanks to Pure Leaf. It was sporty but so energising thanks to Blok London!
And don’t you worry! I still managed to find some energy and went shopping after the session! The Oliver Bonas shop in Liverpool Street Station did not resist me and I came back home with a new table lamp and a jumper that I absolutely love 🙂
But it was not my only highlight!
National TV Awards
One of our most memorable nights will have to be the National TV Awards. We are not TV crazy, and yet it was so nice to be out in London for a glam night!
For the occasion, I put on my new fave LBD and we headed off to Greenwich for the special night. It was so nice to be just the two of us and see Grumpy Boyfriend in a suit!
We got treated to some lovely bubbles and while the boys chatted away, the girls got their make up done and some face painting.
I have not felt that glam for ages! It was also so great to be so close to the stage and witness en direct such a huge British show. And we saw Westlife live too 🙂
En plus, we did not leave empty-handed! The goodie bag was something!!!
Baba Turned Three
But that week was not all about me pretending to be une star de cinéma. Indeed, my favourite Frenchie baby turned three! I can not believe it bien sûr… But Baba had a lovely time!
After being the centre of the attention at the nursery that day, Baba came back home to find his new car! The little story behind it? We originally got him a Lightning McQueen one and I spent half an hour putting all the stickers on… But we were fast to realise that a wheel was not working! Argh!
Never mind, he loves his Mini Cooper and he had a blast at his birthday party we arranged at our local play centre! I know, mon préféré 🙂
Royal Opera House Family Sunday
The following day was a bit more to my taste as we went to the Royal Opera House to experience one of its fab Family Sundays.
The place is so gorgeous you have to check it out just to see the premises!
We enjoyed a bit of classical music as well as a fabulous Tea Party with Alice and the Mad Hatter themselves!
It was a magical day!
Breakfast at the Mortimer House
The last week was also full of events. Baba got a bit ill but we survived it and I even managed to have breakfast at the Mortimer House thanks to Newbie.
The brand has just launched a new bedding and wallpaper collection.
And to celebrate it with style, we had some yummy food at the gorgeous place while doing some cute craft! I even enjoyed doing my own mobile!
Probably because I was with some good company and I had some lovely eggs Benedict to eat 🙂
What a month January has been! So busy with many days out in London and so many presents too for Baba! A great start to the year! I really hope February will be as exciting!
Disclosure: This post features some sponsored content I published this month but it is merely a list of my highlights of the month!
