Geomag Mechanics Gravity Shoot & Catch Review & Giveaway

Bonjour lecteurs! If you are already taking care of your Christmas shopping, you might very much like what is coming up next! Indeed, we have received a new game from the famous Geomagworld range. Baba personally tested it for you (with the help of Frenchie Mummy s’il-vous plaît!) and here is our full Geomag Mechanics Gravity Shoot & Catch Review. And because it is soon Christmas and we love spoiling you… Win a Geomag Mechanics Gravity Shoot & Catch Set worth £63!

Geomagworld Mechanics

Geomag World is célèbre for its magnetic construction systems. If you have not heard about it yet, you better have a look now! We were lucky to try some of the original range featuring bars with a magnet to let our imagination play and we absolutely loved it.

A challenge set to the Frenchie family!

Le concept est simple. Magnetic forces hold the bars and spheres together, creating the possibility for many constructions. It is up to you and as we already highlighted it in our Geomag Pro-L Range Review, it is fun and educational. En plus, it develops independent playing! So we are all up for it!

Geomag Mechanics Gravity Shoot & Catch

The Geomag Mechanics Gravity Shoot & Catch set from the new line is going a bit further than the previous games that we tested before. This time, the “gravity engine” uses the weight of the Geomag spheres to trigger the mechanism of Mechanics constructions. And it is all happening without any electric or battery motors.

You see, it is just using la magie de la physique! And tell me any kid who would not be amazed by such a thing, right?

So… this is what we are aiming for, right?

Before I even share in details our views, let me tell you that this set will come to France with us at Christmas. Because Geomagworld is a fabulous universe for petits et grands, I am planning on challenging my brother to build it! He thinks he is intelligent… So let’s see how fast he will be able to put up altogether the 243 pieces to make the Geomag Mechanics Gravity Shoot & Catch 🙂

Building Geomag Mechanics Gravity Shoot & Catch

As you can see from our photos, I must start by saying that you do not need to do the entire thing up to have fun. As you can see, Baba was more than happy to use the magnetic engine while the model was not completed.

The power of gravity in action 🙂

The truth is that it happened to be a bit tricky to do with a fidgety toddler who was eager to play with the red bits as space rockets!

Sharing with you the pics behind the story…

The box includes two booklets with detailed instructions on how to put it all together, yet it was a great challenge for my little Frenchie brain! It is all about patience really! Something that I do not have much!

You also have a lot of info on the back of the box to refer to it!

Some Tips When You Build It

The orange discs that form the base are made so that you connect them with the orange bars. Yet, make sure to not do it upside down. the good news is that if it is not set up properly, it will not connect well.

So fun to do those! They were the easy part…

So you have another look at the booklet and you start encore 🙂

Watch out you do it the right way though! You need to turn around this one!

And if you have any doubts, you can always download the assembly instruction on the brand’s website!

So it is not that compliqué!

The key to success with this is to read step by step the instructions. No need to rush! Alternatively, not having a toddler hiding the pieces is handy too!

Another good tip? Do not let a toddler with Baba play with it within minutes of doing it all! Some parts (especially the plastic tubes bits) are quick to go and you will be in to redo it!

It is all about being gentle!

How It Works

Once you achieve it all, pas de doute!! You feel like you achieved something! Plus it is good to have a good challenge sometimes! The other good news for you, parents?

You can be sure that this set will keep your little ones busy for a long time!

Baba was eager to get it all done! He started before me

First, they have to make their brains work to build it. And then, the whole system is too amazing to be ignored! We spent quite a fair amount of time to work it all!

And still at it! See this concentration?

The whole track works as a magnetic marble run. Using a combination of gravity and magnets, you can then send a steel ball from one end of the track to the other. It is like one of those cool videos you can see on Youtube.

And suddenly, you feel like one of those geniuses who make amazing creations on the net!

Geomag Mechanics Gravity Shoot & Catch – Le Verdict

Even if this set is aimed at children aged 7+, it did not stop Baba to have so much fun with it. Bien sûr, you need to supervise children his age at all times to make sure they do not swallow any of the magnetic balls or other little bits!

And I must admit, I actually liked the challenge myself!

Either way, it is something that takes time to build before you can enjoy it. So it feels good to do something un peu différent when we keep seeing toys that kids play with two minutes and then end up in the cupboard or in your living-room.

When you feel that awesome!

Plus the power of magnetism used to move the balls is pretty cool too!

It transforms the whole Geomag Mechanics Gravity Shoot & Catch set into a STEM product able to stimulate all levels of scientific insights in your little ones!

The teacher in moi is speaking up here! Learning comes from fun and wonder! Those two boxes are definitely ticked with the Geomag Mechanics Gravity Shoot & Catch!

So get tempted now and order a box! You will have plenty of time to build it with your little ones at Christmas!

Ready to take on the challenge too?

It is the perfect game to challenge your grey cells and have some bonding time with your little ones!

And with Christmas coming up and the time off work coming with it, it the ideal time of the year! Exit the mince pie and the Queen’s Speech! Too boring anyway 🙂

Spice up your Christmas with Geomag Mechanics Gravity Shoot & Catch
