Bonjour lecteurs! Not my usual post as I am writing this Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 Review. But as it happened, I got invited for a collaboration last week to write about this combi boiler. Designed for small to medium sized homes, we got ours installed only a few months back now and we could not have been happier with it! Now that Winter is definitivement on the way, you may be looking at upgrading your own boiler. The Greenstar 4000 promises efficiency, ease of use, and durability. Here is what we made of ours!

After our debacle with our old boiler last year and being without heating nor hot water for over a week, we were quick to look into options.
We consulted some specialists and they often advised us to go for the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000.
- It has a compact design, so it’s parfait if you have limited space in your maison. So much indeed that it can fit in a standard kitchen cupboard par exemple.
- It power output is good and would work for various property sizes. It’s great for a family.
- The boiler has a clear digital display, allowing users to adjust settings easily. It provides you information on water temperature, pressure, and error codes, making it easier to monitor and troubleshoot.
- It’s quiet to operate: Worcester Bosch has designed the Greenstar 4000 with a focus on noise reduction. Its operation is quieter than many similar models. Parfait for families with babies.
- The Greenstar 4000 delivers hot water efficiently with minimal delay: it’s so handy to not have to wait too long for water!
Energy Efficient
The Greenstar 4000 is rated as an “A-rated” boiler, meaning it is highly energy-efficient. When we looked around to choose our new boiler, it was important to find a model which will help save on energy bills.
The Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 certainly does the job thanks to it modulating pump. It adjusts its speed based on your household’s demands so that you just use what you need!
Furthermore, its exchanger improves heat transfer, allowing the boiler to work with less energy while maintaining high performance.
L’autre plus? It’s compatible with smart thermostats so that you can control heating remotely and set schedules par exemple.
L’Installation
We got our Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 boiler installed in September before it got too cold and it was pretty straightforward.
After having issues last November with our old boiler and then with our water tank again this year, we did not want to take any risk.
The engineer came to our house and it was pretty much done within a day and a half. No bad surprises here and it was effectively working once all installed.
Bien sûr, I did not get to do it myself but the boiler features standard pipe connections, so we did not need huge pipework adjustments. Not only it is quicker this way, but it’s also cheaper.
We have ours in our downstairs toilettes so that we can easily access it for maintenance and servicing. And thanks to its compact size, I also have more space in my cupboard to store towels etc.
Performance So Far
We’ve only been using the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 for a few months now but we are very pleased with it so far. It was a great investment to make before Winter.
We are delighted to see how fast it responds to demands. We get hot water or heating as soon as it’s needed and we’ve even seen a huge reduction in our water’s consumption already! Our last water bills halved last month!
Indeed, it’s a combi-boiler so we don’t need a water tank on the side like we used to with our old boiler.
Also, j’adore the smart features as c’est très simple to adjust the temperature or activate other settings without being tech savvy. Even I can work it out, so it definitely says it all…
We also love that we can monitor our consumption thanks to its thermostat and its energy usage reports. Over time, it will be more cost-effective.
Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 Review – Le Verdict
Overall, we are very pleased with our Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 boiler. We were a bit reluctant at first because it came to a price bien sûr, but c’est un réel success.
This boiler is easy to use and is fast to work. Plus, this modèle spécifique is quite energy-efficient while being relatively quiet when working.
Thank to its compact design, I got more space in my cupboard to store towels and it also has a good warranty (you can extend it up to 10 years).
If you have a medium size home, it’s une bonne option for you. We’ve been happy with ours and I recommend it if you are in the market for a new combi-boiler.
