Bonjour lecteurs! Are looking forward to Half-Term? It will be soon, and we will need to keep our little ones busy! Personally, I like nothing else than having many days out in the diary with Baba! So, we are booked for many fun adventures next week and I can not wait for it all! I am just back from France where I spent the weekend with him. I was a bit worried about travelling as a solo parent. But we took the opportunité to test the new Gluten-Free Nairn’s Pop Oats Snacks. Victoire! Baba loved them!
Days Out With Kids
Whatever you are up to next week, you will always need some good snacks for your children to enjoy on the go. There are so many options out there, it is not always easy to decide which one to go for.
I want my Baba to have the best. It needs to be yummy for him to eat it all. But also needs to enjoy a balanced diet. He can have a treat, but we should not indulge too often! Having some fruit is nice too but it can be a bit boring to always have the same kind of snacks.
I was planning a long weekend in France with Baba when Nairn’s asked me if we wanted to test its new Pop Oats Snacks.
New Gluten-Free Nairn’s Pop Oats Snacks
You can select three flavours: BBQ, Salt & Vinegar (both suitable for vegans) and Sour Cream & Chive.
Those yummy snacks are a really good option for snack time or even in kids’ lunchboxes. With only 83 calories per pack, the crispy Pop Oats Snacks are crunchy and tasty.
And when you know they meet the Governments guidelines on fat, salt and sugar with no hydrogenated fat or artificial colours & flavours, it is a good option.
It is also a source of fibre without any preservative.
Baba Tested Gluten-Free Nairn’s Pop Oats Snacks
I packed some in my bag for our journey to France and Baba really enjoyed them! It is a good portion of pop oats per pack so that he was not peckish later on.
He particularly liked their crunchiness!
Plus, a winner for moi too! Indeed, this snack has all the benefits of delicious whole grain oats. And it is 60% less fat than your average pack of crisps so I know he has some healthy snack!
Not Only A Great Snack For Kids!
But those are not only a fab choice for kids’ snacks. Baba loves the BBQ flavour, but mine has to be the Sour Cream & Chive option. At my desk while working or organising my week ahead with my planner, it was a nice snack to enjoy at home.
Easy to incorporate at lunchtime when I am busy with work, it means I have a good dose of fibre in my diet with a pack.
Nairn’s Pop Oats Snacks – Le Verdict
Will I buy encore the new New Gluten-Free Nairn’s Pop Oats Snacks? Oui!
They have been a succés in the Frenchie house and they are gluten-free, so it is a bonus! For the apéro time with my fave wine and a bit of hummus, those will be another hit.
And I will certainly make sure to pack some more bags next time I travel with Baba! After all, a great journey happens thanks to some yummy snacks and games to keep him busy!
Fancy trying those too in the lunchbox? Or just as a healthy treat for you next time you are on the go? The Gluten-Free Nairn’s Pop Oats Snacks are now available from Morrison’s, Waitrose and Asda, retailing at £0.80 per bag.
