Bonjour lecteurs! When was the last time you went on a girls’ break with all your besties? Watching la saison finale of The Summer I Turned Pretty, I am now dreaming of a little escapade to Paris. The French capitale has it all to please for you to have fun and relax with style. Planning The Perfect Girls’ Weekend In Paris? Here is what you need to do with your gals for a memorable trip.
Go Shopping
It would be such a sacrilège if you were to go to Paris and not shop in some of the best French boutiques. From the famous Galeries Lafayette to les Puces de Saint-Ouen, there is something for everyone.
Start with those classiques locations and browse all my favourite brands such as Longchamp, Maje, Sandro or even Gerard Darel. Those are just some idées for you to turn into a Frenchie gal. Think stripes, timeless handbags, but also a bit of beauté with Chanel, Lancôme, etc.
You also need to visit the cool spots in Le Marais and dream of luxury at Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré… You might not be able to buy anything, but you can still check it out!
Relax At The Spa
Fancy a relaxing weekend where you get to enjoy la crème de la crème in the wellness sector? Paris features many spas and beauty salons for you to feel like a million dollars.
For a touch of luxury, try the spa at the Mandarin Oriental. But I also like going to a local Yves Rocher boutique. The beauty brand offers a selection of botanical-focused beauty treatments across all its locations in France. It’s very well priced and have such a beautiful selection of make-up and skincare for you to buy. I always stop by when I come back to France.
If you fancy something more specific, you can use an app or a logiciel de gestion de salon where you can use filters to find what you really want. Par exemple, I would love to check out a hammam one day. I am yet to go and I am very curieuse to check it out.
Take A Seine River Cruise
You might not consider this acitvité when planning the perfect girls’ weekend in Paris. Oui, it’s quite a touristique thing to do, but it’s such a classique! You get to see all the most important monuments in la capitale and it can be a right laugh if you opt for a champagne option.
We went on a romantique river cruise with Grumpy Boyfriend when we started dating years ago and it was amazing!
Have a Picnic In Paris
If the weather allows you, I would definitely recommend you arrange for a picnic in Paris with your girlfriends.
Do it right with lots of fromage and baguette, plus some wine et voilà!
There are so many beautiful places in the city for you to relax with your friends around some good food: the Parc Monceau, the Place Dauphine, the Champ de Mars or the Tuileries Gardens are really pretty. But you could also do it anywhere right by la Seine or in a local park. There are so many green spaces across the city and you can chill in the shade of the trees while hearing the kids in the playground.
Take A Painting Class
Why not pretend you are the new Claude Monet and take a painting class in Paris.
I am no artist whatsoever, but it’s such a lovely experience to do and you have many options to choose from. You can go for a watercolour painting workshop or even something a bit different.
There are even outdoors painting lessons so that you can explore some new parts of the capitale while being créative.
Musées & More
Bien sûr, you must make it to some of the most famous museums in France. Le Louvre is spectacular, but can be busy. I actually prefer le Musée d’Orsay with its extensive collection of impressionist pieces. Claude Monet will always be one of my fav French artists.
I also recommend you visit l’Opéra National de Paris. Even if you don’t see an actual show, you must go inside to witness its architecture. You can visit it between 10 am and 4 pm and it’s absolutely stunning. I went there for the first time as a teen on a school trip and I will never forget it. Fancy a glimpse before you see it in person? Check out the TV show Etoile on Prime. The American comedy-drama television series is the perfect way to discover Paris before you actually travel there.
Paris has so much to offer with many exciting places to visit. It’s a must-see once in a lifetime. Plan The Perfect Girls Weekend In Paris for next year and make some beautiful French memories with your loved ones. And if you have more time, drive further out the area direction la Champagne where you can discover French vineyards and so much more.
And for a laugh, some old photos of me in Paris in my 20s…Now, I want to go back to Paris!
