Bonjour lecteurs! Sometimes, it gets scary to think about what atrocities happen in the modern world. Kidnapping, murder, rape… Those make daily headlines in the news. Only the other day, on the way to school, they were talking again about Madeleine McCann. As a parent, it’s difficile not to think about threats against our children. They are here every single day. Today’s post is a bit different from my usual ones, as I introduce Inside 764. It’s a podcast and YouTube series that every parent should listen to.
Inside 764
Inside 764 is a podcast series telling the story of how a 15-year-old from Texas built a cult in the US.

Not only that, but the culprit was charged with possession of child sexual abuse material. Nobody saw it coming, and yet, it got out of control in a small town in Texas. Even worse, it was targeting younger children! The worst nightmare for any parent. Truth is, we need to be careful because danger is everywhere.
Look at this story where authorities uncovered a new kind of online threat. The reportage show you how an organised network of teenagers recruited others into some dark cult. Regardez… It’s quite chilling.
The Most Dangerous Cult Run By Teens
If you like a true crime podcast, then Inside 764 is for you. The new series launching in December explores one of the most disturbing digital
cults to emerge from the internet: 764, a teen-led international sextortion and self-harm network.
Have you ever heard about this huge case? The group targeted kids and harmed them. The extremist network had a huge influence. The FBI investigated over 350 cases over the US and it all started in a 15-year-olds bedroom!
The young boy quickly became a cult leader to a network of digital torturers. The aim of this scary group? They wanted to make their victims obedient, driving them to terrible acts. It went so far that even a young girl committed suicide on camera. It is truly sickening.
Inside 764 – The Podcast
This immersive true-crime podcast traces how a 15-year-old in Texas leveraged kids gaming platforms, Discord, and Telegram to radicalise and groom vulnerable children online.

Through exclusive interviews with survivors, law enforcement, and investigative journalists, Inside 764 and its host Sabrina show how complex the network was.
Not only that, it’s also l’exemple parfait to remind us that we need to be careful of how our children use social platforms. Sometimes, it is more than fun and games. We need to be vigilant with teens and their use of social platforms. It can quickly escalate.

The series is presented, produced and written by Sabrina Jones and co-produced by Spencer Johnston. Series Editor and Executive Producer is Glenn Barden. Inside 764 is an Alamo Pictures production in connection Soho Podcasts and Wired Studios.
Online Abuse
If your child is involved in online abuse (either as a perpetrator or victim), stay calm, talk openly with them without blame and save any evidence you have such as screenshots etc.
You can report it to the CEOP. But you can also seek support via the NSPCC helpline (0808 800 5000) or Childline (0800 1111).
To prevent any issues, the best way is to set up controls on all devices and networks and always talk openly with your children.
