Before I start… The true title of this post is the following: Frenchie Mummy wants her baby to be a Frenchie fashionista!
Frenchie Mummy loves fashion: coats, dresses, handbags, shoes… All of it! And even when I don’t buy clothes for myself, I am more than happy to buy clothes for Grumpy Boyfriend or Baba. If really I am having a bad day (nothing to buy), I will still manage to purchase something for the house that we don’t really need…
Oui, I am a shopaholic!!! So what?
Now, being a mummy at home can be a bit frustrating with fashion. Admittedly, you have time to shop. Plenty of it. But you don’t really have a chance to show off your lovely stuff. I spend most of my days in leggings and pumps.
So, to make up for it, I transform Baba into a fashionista. I buy more clothes for him than myself. That’s ok. I will catch up once I am back to work. I will then have the perfect excuse to borrow Grumpy Boyfriend’s debit card…
Baba loves fashion, or I make him love it? All he seems to care about really is food… But that’s fine! I was still excited when Petit Bateau sent me some of their gorgeous items to review. Remember? I am in love with this Frenchie brand!
Be prepared, lecteurs. This post will be full of cute pictures and you will feel very tempted to head over to their website to order a selection of Frenchie outfits for your little ones and yourself! This fab Frenchie brand also has a great collection for you, mummies who still want to be stylish like moi!
I said it before and will repeat myself here! This type of item is a must-have for your bébé! You can’t resist such patterns! I mean, look at Baba’s smile when he was wearing this star print bodysuit! Il est très cool and he knows it…
You also have some stripes as Baba is Frenchie! Another advantage of this item? The neckline makes it easy to dress him. Baba is not always content when it’s time to get ready. He is a bit of a diva. I reckon it comes from Grumpy Boyfriend… Pas moi!
Last but not least, you have the cutest design on it with the brand’s name.
Those are perfect for everyday wear! I already had a set this summer (short-sleeved) and Baba wore them all the time!
- Baby boy’s sleeveless printed bodysuit
Alerte! A cute baby is on the way! Do you see this pattern? I mean, if it’s not the style of a fashionista, I don’t know what it is! The giggles say it all. He is rocking it and he is fully aware of it!
Once more, a perfect bodysuit with an easy fitting and a wonderful style.
- Baby’s unisex pyjamas with front motif
Oui, you are reading it right! It is un pyjama unisex! I double-checked the description when it arrived. Grumpy Boyfriends laughed at me when he saw it as it looked really bright and a bit pink! ‘You got him a girl’s sleepsuit! Hahaha’ Another example that Grumpy Boyfriend is not fashionable at all. Boys can actually wear this kind of stuff! Baba is proud to show his feminine side!
The bright colour suits very well Baba’s blue eyes. And the motif on it is also gorgeous! In cotton, it is both comfortable pour bébé and easy-care pour Maman! Don’t neglect this kind of details. You want something easy to wash!
- Baby boy shortie
Pardon! I had to feature something with stripes! But how Frenchie is this outfit?! It was the first item I selected when I heard about the review. Un classique! The colours beige and Abysse blue are just the perfect match! In pure cotton, it is also a very comfortable item. I love the fact that Baba looks like a sailor.
The back with the logo is stunning too!
Le verdict? Mais bien sûr (of course, for my dear readers who might not understand), we are in love with Petit Bateau. And if by now, you are not too, then you don’t like Frenchie fashion! Because Petit Bateau is la crème de la crème!
Here is why we love it so much:
- C’est Frenchie
- C’est sophistiqué
- C’est beau
- C’est de la qualité
- C’est parfait!
Got it? If not, well, find out! I am in a good mood today so I will let you off for this time. Petit Bateau is Frenchie (I am sure you got this one, right?), stylish, beautiful, of quality, perfect.
And the numbers below speak for themselves…
Indeed, it’s so good that here is a mini selection that j’adore from the new collection.
If anyone who knows me happens to read this post, Baba is a size 12 months or 18 months (he has cute chubby legs. If your baby is the same, then always order a bigger size so that you can make the most of it!) Just saying! If you want to make a Maman happy next time you pop in for a cup of Frenchie tea! ????
Disclosure: Petit Bateau kindly sent us all the items in this post, but all opinions are mine (not Grumpy Boyfriend’s; he has not much taste with clothes…)
Baba is rocking all the outfits, they’re gorgeous! Love the unisex PJ’s and so what if they’re pinky!

Merci! I was surprised but it’s actually so cute!!!! xx
Oh I am a BIG fan of Petit Bateau and I just love the colours and styles for boys. It was always a place I’d go to when my Boy was little. It’s also great because they offer boys clothes that are not blue or black (I get so frustrated at some high-streets who think boys only want blue and girls pink!!)
Another brand you have probably found – and we’re big fans of -is POP, http://www.polarnopyret.co.uk/
Not French but European. Does that count?!!

Just looked. It looks lovely!
These are so lovely! And great pics!
Oh you lucky thing – j’adore le petit bateau aussi et il y a une chemise formidable cette saison avec du rayures (stripes?) pour le petit garçon – we may have had a little falling down in petit bateau when we were travelling through Europe this summer, I do like a good stripe!

hurrah! I love les rayures too!!!! Everytime I go shopping I love buying stripes. For me, Baba or Grumoy Boyfriend… We are all Frenchie! LOL. Thanks for your lovely comment xx
What a lovely selection of outfits! My favourite is definitely the stripy romper 🙂 Gorgeous!
Thanks for linking up to #FunkyKidFriday xxx
I love Petit Bateau too. Your little one looks so cute in his outfits. I think the quality and classic style, make their pieces simply marvellous. The only issue I’ve had is the sizing is tiny or my bubbas are extra large, so I always go up a couple of baby sizes to get the best fit. Great post! Yvadney x #FunkyKidFriday
Wow I love all the patterns on these Petit Bateau vests and rompers! So funky! x
