About Mini Stitches
We discovered Mini Stitches about two years ago while we visited Dot to Dot. It is a genderless kids’ fashion label with pop colours and real statement pieces!
Do you like fashion for grown-ups? Something un peu moderne but with some colourful styles? This brand is made for you!
But it is more than super cool and totally different from what you could have seen in the past! Mini Stitches is very distinct! Indeed, it is revolutionising the UK’s ethical clothing supply chain, bringing a new and fresh approach to childrenswear, designed and made with Stitches in Time. It’s a charity based in East London! So not only you are fashionable, but you also help a good cause!
Stitches in Time
Stitches in Time is a participatory arts and education charity with a social enterprise arm based in Tower Hamlets. The community project set up in 1993 helps to empower individuals and build strong, inclusive, and cohesive communities. Thanks to Stitches in Time, creative workshops are delivered across London and help women. The organisation provides a large range of classes to bring together people and build their confidence.
As soon as I heard about how Mini Stitches helped other women, I wanted to feature the label! No wonder why it won an award with Pirouette!

Stripe Top
No doubt the label knew I would love this item! This striped top made of 75% cotton and 25% linen is truly beau! Really strong but also machine washable for easy care, it looks very Frenchie!
The rolled-up sleeves make a cute detail while the pocket on the chest also adds up some value to the top. Ask Baba! It is always handy to have one to put his favourite car or any random toy inside.
More seriously, the striped top is lovely. It reminds me of the cinema in the 60s.
Unisex Red Polly Pantaloon
To complete the look, we also received those red trousers. I really like the way the brand used some Frenchiness to name it and this red is flamboyant!
Comfy with a baggy style, it complements so well with the top!
Made in 100% cotton, it is soft and very resistant. Plus the elastic waistband makes it comfy to wear.
The trouser hem is designed to roll up or down to fit so it is up to you what style you would go for. Or you can keep the trousers longer when your child is growing up. Either way, it looks very pretty and such a cool item for the summer.
It is fresh and easy to wear for a chic look à la plage.
Baba Fashionista with Mini Stitches- Le verdict
Mini Stitches promises to produce responsibly made clothes for our little ones that stand out from the crowd. The label introduced sustainable fabric solutions to its production. Each garment we received is not only super colourful and fun. They are made of high-quality material with care. En plus, the fact that most of the collection is unisex means that you can pass on whatever you buy.
The ensemble is absolutely beautiful and knowing that someone handmade it for us makes it even more spécial. Furthermore, the whole online shop empowers women and helps on the way. When fashion is sustainable with a lovely twist like the top and the trousers we tried, I say ‘oui!’ to that!
Hurrah for some cool fashion with an ethical background. A fresh idea in the industry that some big brands could take for example! Non?
