3 Facts about Crab & The Fox
- The name of the shop is inspired by a Aesop’s fable. I don’t know about you but I love that! It reminds me of being at school and studying Latin. Did you know that La Fontaine, one of the most famous French fabulists was actually influenced a lot by Aesop’s work? A great Frenchie connection if you want my opinion!
- Gemma created Crab & The Fox while she was on maternity leave. She decided she wanted to develop a brand which had values reflecting the things she loved – weekends together as a family, walking through woodland, rolling English fields, fresh air, rosy cheeks, cheese and pickle sandwiches, picnics, storybooks and adventures. I am always very keen on supporting mum entrepreneurs. Like Gemma, I want the best for my son and I am always trying to buy him clothes that reflect his personality.
- Crab & the Fox sources unique products from smaller retailers around the globe who are impassioned about what they do. Offering a fabulous selection of accessories for the nursery, clothes, toys but also baby toiletries, they offer a handpicked selection of brands such as Blade & Rose and Lara & Ollie. No wonder why Crab and The Fox was selected as a finalist in CWB’s awesome Independent Retail Awards for 2016. Le plus? Gemma was also a judge at The Rising Star award that was introduced in 2013 by Bubble London. If you don’t know about this fabulous trading show yet, make sure to read our post about it here!
Impressionnant, non? Wait to see the clothes we were sent to review for this post!
Pale Blue Penguin Bonnie Mob Baby Intarsia Jumper by The Bonnie Mob
I am always making sure that Baba is warm enough. The weather is now getting a bit better and this jumper was very handy over the last few days.
Made from 95% cotton and 5% cashmere, this item is just gorgeous and looks of such a good quality. The colour pale blue is also very attractive and will become a key outfit in Baba’s wardrobe over the spring!
Furthermore, the magical new design from The Bonnie Mob, featuring a tiny little penguin with flippy flappy legs coming out of the knit is juts the most adorable detail ever.
The texture is so soft it makes mon bébé looks very comfortable and yet stylish with The Bonnie Mob trademark apple on the other side of the jumper.
I didn’t know this label before, but I am now a new fan! Their jumpers have a bit of a vintage feeling while they also are super stylish!
You like this clothes? Look at the pink version still available on the website. Any little girl would look adorable in it!
Rainbow Baby Leggings by Blade and Rose
I usually don’t buy leggings for Baba. You see, le fameux Frenchie Baba is quite a big eater and therefore could be described as a chubby baby. Let’s say it, mon fils is not slim. I am fine by that. If anything, it means he has a healthy diet.
But leggings are normally a no-no in his wardrobe.
To my surprise, those Blade and Rose leggings look really stunning on him. His legs actually looked slimmer and they really suited him! I will definitely purchase more leggings in the future.
If you are looking for something super colourful and with fun designs, don’t look further. Blade and Rose is the label for you. And the stretchy knit ensures a great fit for your little one.
Baba is wearing a size 1-2 on the pictures and I reckon I will be using those pants for a little while. The stretchable fabric makes your life so easier to dress up your little one too!
The patterns are woven and not printed, so even after washing they look new and vibrant. Baba has worn many times those leggings and they still look as dazzling and funky as ever.
Plus you know me, I love stripes! All those colours together are just the best! Le parfait Frenchie outfit for Baba!
Crab & The Fox is a gem on the market! From big brands, to hidden treasures, you will find for sure something you will like! Each product has been perfectly handpicked for you. Gemma has for sure a great taste. The two items we received represent very well her brand! They both showed some personality and felt very luxurious!
Make sure you check out the website as there are some fabulous discounts at the moment. The new collection from The Bonnie Mob will transform your little one into a funky 70’s cool baby! We love their unisex products and the items featuring a bunny!
