Bonjour lecteurs! Mornings are pretty busy for working parents. There is so much to do, getting everyone ready for school. It’s easy to forget to do your beauty routine. Do you even wear a fragrance? I usually wear the same perfume. But sometimes, I am in the mood for something else. That’s why it’s worth creating a fragrance wardrobe. It does not need to be expensive either. A few carefully selected bottles can offer plenty of variety across work, family time, evenings out and those rare quiet moments reserved for yourself.

Start with the Scents You Already Love
Before shopping for anything new, look at the perfumes you already enjoy. Do you always go for similar notes or scents?
Personnellement, I love something with citrus in the summer and prefer a stronger scent like Chanel in the cold season.
Floral scents often feature flower notes, while fruity fragrances may include berries, peach or citrus. Gourmand profiles can feature sweet notes reminiscent of vanilla, caramel or coffee. Which one would be your go-to?
No need to become an expert on fragrance terminology to build the right fragrance wardrobe. Note what works for your skin and stick to it.
Choose Scents for Different Sides of Your Life
A busy week can involve several versions of you; that’s why you need options to choose from.
If I work from home, I like something lighter. But if I go out, I want to smell luxurious.
En plus, you might also find your preferences change throughout the year. But don’t stick to strict rules either.
If you adore a richer fragrance on an ordinary Tuesday afternoon, there is no reason to save it for Saturday night. Likewise, you can wear your fav summer scent all year round if that’s the way you feel!
Your fragrance says so much about you…
No Need To Splurge
Building a varied collection does not have to be expensive. Start with samples to see what you like. Or go to the shops and test what’s available. Look across different price points when discovering new scent styles.
Nowadays, many affordable options, like dupes of well-known perfumes, smell divine! They littéralement feel like the originals, and if anything, it means you can get more for your money.
What matters is whether you personally enjoy the scent and whether it earns a place among the bottles you already use.
A More Sustainable Collection
Build your beauty collection over time. After all, sustainable beauty is the new thing. Avoid impulse purchases. You might end up with too many bottles that you don’t really need. Instead, ask yourself how often you would wear it.
If most of your collection is mainly floral or sweet, try a fresh or woody scent for a change.
Testing before buying can also reduce purchases that you will regret later. Don’t fall for the trends either; you might get bored quickly and not wear it often.
As for storage, follow the instructions on the bottle and avoid leaving your fragrances where heat or direct sunlight could affect them. I keep mine out on my dresser.
Build your selection gradually, follow your own preferences and enjoy the variété. A fragrance wardrobe does not need to be large or extravagant to add a small moment of individuality to everyday life. Explore new scents and try fragrances you have never worn before. Like fashion, it’s fun to experiment with something new.
Let me know in the comments what your favourite fragrances are. I love many French brands, but I am always curieuse to check out new perfumes.
